如係想讀九龍宣道小學就選根德園，因宣小多數不收太淺的宣幼，宣小多數收根德園及國際。

I know 宣道小學 accept around 30% of 宣幼 kids.

Do anybody know many % of Kentville students will go to 宣道小學 ? I think that it is difficult to conclude that 宣道小學 prefers Kentville students than Alliance Kindergarten because Kentville has 600- 700 K3 students while Allinance K. has only ca 120 K3 students every year.

Graduates from Alliance Kindergarten face little competition than outsiders. approx. 40 out of 120 can go into Alliance Primary.
Alliance primary has 4 classses x 40 person each class. Remaining 120 seats for over thousand applicants.
My girl will study in Alliance p.m. class.

如果宣小是你們的target school, 我想你還是選Kent.比較好. 因為昨天我撞到一個係宣小教書的舊同學, 她跟我說宣小的而且確是比較喜歡收Kent. 及St. Catherine的學生, 因為這2間學校出黎的學生學術程度比較高, 較容易跟得上她們的課程, 也因為這樣, 明列前芧的學生往往也是來自這2間學校的小朋友. 至於宣幼, 她說程度真的比較淺, 上到宣小會比較辛苦. 小朋友要一段時間才能適應課程.

係收生方面, 雖然宣幼會跟其它學校的小朋友分開面試, 但絕對沒有優先, 她們只會儘量Keep住30%的收生率, 但如果小朋友的表現未達要求, 是不會因要Keep住這個%而"隔硬"收的. 另外, 她說黎緊宣小的數學程度會逐漸教高一級, 而且她們的要求是如中,英, 數其中一科不合格都要留級.

除其它學科外, 據聞Kent的數學程度也是較高的, 故我提議如你想為將來舖路, 而小朋友上到小學又可以輕鬆d面對的話, 還是選Kent. 吧!

Thanks for your advance, but it's too late as I have withdrawn from Kent. last week. Actually, it is difficult to predict what will happen after 3 years. Maybe at that time, only 10% of Alliance Kinder. can to go Alliance Primary or maybe 50%... who knows? Not even the principals of both schools. What I wish is that my boy can enjoy his school life happily in the coming three years. Thanks again.

Both are famious kinder. Last year when my kid was interview 根德園 I also want her to go this kinder. 根德園 accepted her but I withdraw. Why? Becasue I met some parents of this school they are crazy for their kids quali and force their kids to do this and to do that. They are too stress. I admit this is a good kinder but I don't want my kid goes into much pressure during kinder stage. I want my kid has happy life.

I agree that happy school life is important for a small kid. However, good academic standard has the same importance as long as the children study in HK (except int'l schools) due to the crazy education system in HK. We have to find a balance btw happy school life and academic standard, it is really a hard work for parent. Right ? By the way, what is the final choice for your kid ?

Kikima, my boy will also study in PM K1. 50% they will be classmate ! What is your girl's name ? My is Chan Ming Yin.
