高主教 vs St. Clare's 邊間好呢!!!! - 小一選校

我會揀 St Clare's ，原本我囡囡都有報高主教，但後來daddy發表意見話高主教一向是男校，佢唔想個女入去讀，好似好怪咁，但最主要原因是要放棄統一派位，所以我們最終都冇去面試。

Hi iriswong0706,

I haven't applied St. Clare as the location of this school is too far away for my daughter. Last Saturday, I talked to a current P.1 St. Clare parent, she told me that the academic level of St. Clare is not very high, say, English lesson - same year level and Maths - additions and subtractions within 10 only. Actually, I have no bias on this school but just tell you what I have heard.

RC has also accepted my daughter. My main worry is this year the 2nd year to accept girls. I am also afraid too less girls. The academic level of RC should be higher than St. Clare, say, English lesson - half year higher and they use PTH to teach Chinese subjects.

高主教70,80年代在羅便臣道拍住聖貞德時兩所"和尚"寺時最得。今非昔比，現在男校也保不住(起碼聖保羅書院、聖類斯也守得住男校傳統)因收唔夠生是也。新過檔灣仔開檔末知禍福。
有容乃大，有麝自香，得就唔使鎖你唔比大抽獎甘驚你唔來。:;pppp:

As Aidata said, perhaps St Stephen is also 唔得啦! "得就唔使鎖你唔比大抽獎"

Also, HKUGA is also 唔得, otherwise they will let the parents to choose between HKUGA and 自行分配學位 instead of signing an undertaking to give up 自行. Right ?

aidata has any conflict with 高主教 before?

just feel it is the bias comment of 高主教.

keep boy/girl school = GOOD = much enough applicant ?

change to co-ed = BAD = no enough applicant ?

btw, i am waiting for 1st stage of gov't assignment or 高主教.

我同你有一樣的煩惱,唔知點好. 高主教中學成績好似好D,但家中長輩又認為都係讀女校好.

高主教去年小一平均一班有37-39人, 咁叫收唔夠生? 莫非一班45人先叫足夠?收女生係要實踐全人教育。

搬去灣仔新校舍係因為小學校舍地方不夠用。

我相信學校唔比已取錄學生參加大抽獎係要保障自己, 對家長來說係唔好, 但易地而處, 學校這樣的做法係可以理解。我去年都掙扎了很久, 最終都讓兒子入讀此校, 到現在我都無後悔, 始終選擇權是在你處。

RC給我的印象及教學方法都是我十分欣賞, 尤其小一開始即以全PTH教所有中文科 ~~~

Dear iriswong and chanwnmama,

Most of my relatives suggest me to let my daughter to study in RC which is definitely a good school. They said boys&girls school should be better to balance a child's development. What do you think ? and will you let your daughter to register in RC ?

個人認為, 在考慮取捨時, 是否男女校真的很其次﹔少了一個point, 簡單D。
舉例說, DGS收, St. Paul Convent 收的話, 我不作他想(驚讀唔上或負擔重另計, 這些應在報名前想清楚了);
某些朋友比較不喜歡齋校, 很想做個訪問,會不會是男性較多, 又, 自己本人又是否讀過齋校?

我中學係讀女校,我覺得無咩野,當然個段時間係青春期,發下豆芽夢一定有,但未至於喜歡女仔,其實小學讀男/女校我覺得無問題,反而小學階段我想比個女讀女校,因為重細只識同小朋友玩,大家女仔幾好,到中學可能我會轉返男女校

高記收夠仔都要睇下甚麼質素啦，
收下女仔好多了個機會上band one 頭，
少了個機會走去band 2X。
當年創校 Father Carra都收唔夠仔，神父唯有在雅賓利道花園仔搵男仔。
收仔的傳統都改得是靈活求變革囉，
但若是男校傳統是品學兼優何需求變?
至於"鎖你大抽獎"做法，夠班的DGJS咪比你去抽Maryknoll囉。
