There is no NET in KV. I'm not sure how much time do they spend learning English but definitely less than the time spending in teaching in Cantonese as up to now, only Chinese books are used in K1. They are famous for intensive training in academic and discipline.
reading story book X 1-2 books per week. And the teacher train the student doing homework by himself. I think it is important element for growth. It is well prepare for primary school.
I would say children just get used to that and they will be easily adapted into primary school style esp. those famous for good academics. But if the schedule is not tight in kindergarten, children would need to pay great effort to get adapted into the teaching style in primary school.
