Can any SPCCPS parent give advice on the chance of P1 admission [複製鏈接]

My son is one of the 200 2nd interview candidates. We are in group B only. Ms Lee just asked us whether the distance is a consideration for us to choose SPCCPS and explained many of the policy and curriculum in their school in the interview. We chated for nearly half an hour, however, my son did not sit stably by the end of the interview (last 5-10 mins). Will it be a crucial factor for her to reject my son? Any chance for a boy to enroll at last if we fall into the waiting list. Will the result letter received earlier than those released on web.
I have to assess the chance as we also need to plan for K1 admission for his younger brother. The date of interview of the H.K. side and Kowloon kinder chased. I have to choose either one of them. It's difficult to make the decision. Give up the Kowloon side and my elder son can be fail at SPCCSP. Stay at Kinder at Kowloon side, then we cannot move to H.K. if we are fortunately accepted by SPCCSP.  

Can any SPCCPS parent or any insider can advise on my quiry? Thanks!

記得去年spccps 比教署公佈結果早少許, 我去年先在website 查到後收信, check 到website那天是星期六，　今年政府公佈的日子是２４／１１，　有何能在website check 的日子是22/11.

For the not sitting still issue, i have replied in other topic already. pls check.  

The candidate who is on waitinglist, they still have cahnce to enter in SPCC provided other kids resign their seat.  To my understanding, this situation is likely, there may have one to two students who resign their seat each year, but usually until very late time, almost in June.

Bear in mind, Even the sister/brother who is already in SPCC, it doesn't mean their younger brother will directly enter in SPCC.  The chance is only around 20-40%.

out of the 50 candidates on the waiting list, only 1 to 2 are so lucky to enrol at last. That means the chance is very scare! It would be heartbreaking during the period of wait if we fall in the waiting list!

Let's share the experience of my friend, a real case.

The family live in Kowloon.  They have two sons also studying in Kowloon.  The elder son was put on the waiting list of SPCC last year and he was admitted now in P1.  They received notice just before this summer and they decided to take the offer despite they have already bought all the things including uniform and books of anther school.

So they immediately "knock" the door of some kindergartens on Hong Kong side for the younger son and luckily he was admitted and now studying K1 on Hong Kong side.

After settling the two sons, the third thing they are think of is to move to Hong Kong side.  In this interim period, the mother has to drive the kids to and from the schools.

Just share the case for your reference.  You may start to explore the many options !

請問一些SPCC既家長﹕

1. 係2nd interview 既時候﹐李校長話24 NOV (MON)會收到通知信。 如果係甘﹐請問有冇機會可以係22 NOV (SAT) 係SPCC website 查閱到﹖

2. 如果是被reject 或者是 on waiting list﹐請問可否在SPCC website 中通知﹖

Last year they only release those accepted on the website. You can see the format in their school website.

Go to the "New/events" section and screen down - there is one posted on 24-11-2007 P1 acceptance list.

Just want to ask is that mean no chance for those who do not enter to second round interview.  They will receive reject letter or still have some on waiting list.  They don't have chance?? Thanks for those parents who had that experience to share.

The school selected 200 applicants for 2nd in. Finally, it will select 150 from these 200.  The rest 50 will be on the waiting list.  So those without 2nd in will not be put on waiting list.  Ms Lee likes large boys and girls, I guess some of the 200 selected are born in end of 2002.  To be honest, no more chance for those not selected for the 2nd in, I am also the loser this year.  My kid is very very very "small ".  Cheng2: don't think any more about this school, your kid can find other best schools.
