If you have watched the TV show past Sunday, June 13 on ATV World Channel, Bishop Joseph Zen has explained in full details for his standpoint on that.
Catholic has run school education for more than 100+ years and the prime duty at every stage of history is to introduce into life the Jesus Christ. The devotions are to bring love and peace to everyone mind. May I say that, all the Catholic school are English teaching and that some of the parents like to apply these school which make the composition of the management board of the school make argument.
Now they are arguing the composition of the board under the new rule should involve old boy or girl of the school, parents or teacher into the management board. If you are changing the mode of teaching, the pattern or the style it's negotiable. But the percentage of the management board will make a huge difference to it, means non-Catholic people will in charge the school, means there could have a possibility that no bible to learn and even no church in school. The new rule is destructing the structure of the religion and that Bishop Joseph Zen will against for it. This is a non-profit making school education and if the government imposes the critical reform in school education, Catholic might withdraw the right to school education but turn to other community service. Who will suffer, definitely the children, they have a lesser choice for school. You might judge the children from Catholic school is relatively discipline and have love in their mind as God teach us to do. My whole family is Catholic and we support Bishop Joseph.
