根德園出來的孩子,除了學術上有保證外,重好自律地温書及做功課,而且謮得好開心,又無乜什費,很多小學都好鍾意根德園的畢業生!!!

First of all, disagree your topic title. Kentville's teachers and staff are very nice and caring. In my case, my son has some delay development and average in acamedic result but the teachers still encourage and pay extra afford to help him.

But if you are looking for a kid with good mandarin, Kent is not a choice as it's not its focus !

Hi BB成長期,

Based on your messages, I feel that you should apply Keenmind for your child. KV does not quite meet your expectation.
There is no native English-speaking teacher at KV. I am not sure of the schedule of Mandarin lessons. I feel that Madarin lessons are just casually given to pupils, such as singing Mandarin songs and rhymes.
Anyway, I don't know how to describe KV in full. I believe that KV has a way to teach their pupils so that KV K2 students are competent to read and write. Their usage of English and Chinse is good. Most of the KV students are disciplined and have already gotten a sense of what education is at such an early stage in kindergarten. KV is successful because of its training method that pave the way for students to primary schooling.
If you want your child to possess excellent oral English and Mandarin, I believe that you should try other kindergartens or language classes.

BB成長期,

My friend's son had attended this kg(劍嗚) and she said the homework were so hard (evern harder than KV) and tedious. I think if each kg can focus on one aspect and you must complement those kids do not learn in school. She is a working mom and felt hard to follow up. I think all/ most kgs expect their students accepted by famous / good primary schools, which affect their reputation and intake of students, so they become much demanding in K3. If you want a pressure free kg, you'd better choose those with primary school connected.

Anyway, KV is a traditional school from which kids are well prepared to primary school (K3=P1 stardard) and accepted by many famous primary schools.

Agree with Daisy MAMI. Kentville teachers really to special caring for my son too. I am very much appreciated. Some time they did gave me some advise too.

Take my son for example, KV could tain up the kid work independent and confident. The teachers are very nice. If you have chance to take a look how the kids go to school. You can learn and know what KV's method of training starting from the first steps to enter to school.

1) Don't run, keep smiling.
2) Before go to the classroom, all the kids need to go to washroom.
3) When entering to classroom, they all know pass their homework or assignment to teacher together with student book in order.
4) Then, before the lesson starts, all the kid would take the revision what they have learnt.

One interesting thing happened in K1, one of the kid forgot to do homework, the teacher is so nice and patient that teach him/her to do.

All in all, my son will complete his kindergarten life on next week.

Only one thing that KV made me disappointed was there was no graduation ceremony for parents to see.

依家好番哂, 可以用中文可能會表達得好d !

我個仔k1, 佢有少少語障, 當初好驚進唔上kv既程度, 開學兩個月度, 班主任打電話比我問我個仔既情況, 我就坦白同佢講佢有語障, 依家跟緊言語治療, 個老師仲問言語師有乜建議, 等佢係學校可以個別抽時間幫下佢 !當時我好surprise, 私校老師會肯有咁既offer. 雖然我最後都冇叫老師特別幫佢, 但都好感激佢既offer.

此外, 我有一次入院, 而老公又唔係香港工作, 所以老公係手冊寫比老師知我入左院, 手冊及通告會冇人簽, 如有緊要事, 可致電比我老公. 點之我出院大約1個星期, 個班主任竟然打電話比我問候我 ! 所以我覺得kv 的老師真係好nice, 好好 !

再加上我有個大女, (可惜當然就係比出邊d rumor 嚇驚左, 所以冇比佢讀, 依家真係好後悔). 就發現 kv 教得真係好有系統 ! 好簡單寫一個中文字, 已教識佢地既筆順, 好似個 "口" 字, 除左筆順之外, 亞仔仲話老師話一定要埋口, 唔可以有個"隆", 真係比佢激死!

亞仔係kv 一年了, 學識好多野, 最近最攪笑既係佢地唔知有d乜野表現 (呢d就真係我覺得有d可惜既 !) 叫左亞仔講開場白, 內容係 :校長, ms wong, ms cheng, ms xxxx (我唔記得d名), 各位老師午安, 請大家一齊細心欣賞我地 k1h既精彩表現啦 ! 多謝".

雖然短短幾句大家可能覺得冇乜野, 但對一個有語障既小朋友要佢記咁多野同自己講咁多野, 真係要加陪心機至得, 所以我對kv 真係好滿意 !

之前你話唔舒服,家下好番就好喇。仲記唔記得我呀,舊年喺電話問過你意見有關你亞囡間幼稚園嘅資料,因當時我亞囡hold住KV及你亞囡嗰間幼稚園嘅offer。唔經唔覺我亞囡喺KV仲有3日就讀完K1,時間過得真係快。

睇完你講KV嘅老師點關心你及你囝囝,真係有d感動!!其實亞囡未讀KV之前,我都有好多疑慮,不過經過呢一年之後,呢d疑慮已經冇哂。

其實依家仲有人問我kv 同我大女以前間kinder 既意見, 當然, 我已經錯左一次, 唔會再錯第2次. 其次, 有比較之後, 更覺kv很有系統, 雖然冇學卷, 都抵, 而且d老師真係好好! 係衰在冇得見到小朋友係學校表現者 ! 佢地奧運又有activities, 四川又有教育小朋友同有少少輔導家長既指引, 真係算唔錯架!'

k1已順利過關, k2可能會深好多, 希望亞仔都pick up 到啦 ! 話時話, 你知唔知學校係咪有d表演, 所以亞仔要講開場白呢 ? 因為亞仔仲未識表達比我聽呀!
