I am planning to let my son study N1 in next year but want him join some playgroup first this year.  He is now only 16 months (borned in Jan-2003) so he cannot start K1 next year.

I am considering choosing the playgroup or even next years' nursury of Victoria (Kornhill) or 啟思 (杏花). By the way, I live in Chai Wan and it seems that 啟思 is more convenient.  I have visited two kinders already, to my impression, the teachers of 啟思 seems very nice and helpful but the classroom of Victoria looks very clean and reputation and overall comments of Victoria is good too, in particular English.  Only upper Kornhil of Victoria (Toddler) has playgroup and more nursury classes but upper Kornhill-Victoria is inconvenient as we need to take their shuttle bus to connect.

Is there any mummy have any comment on these two schools.  Thanks.

My daughter was born in Nov 02. She attended the playgroup in Harbour Height few months ago. We actually attended the playgroup for 1 month and quitted. My advice are:
Dont expect them learn anything from the playgroup. My daughter attended the playgroup when she was 16 months. I previosly just wanted her to meet other people instead of staying at home with my maid. But the truth is that, minimal interaction was found among the babies as every bb was accompanied by a adult or even 2 adults... every mom/maid held their kids tight and seldom allowed them mixing together. they might worried about that others might hurt their kids or vice versa. Most of the time, bb played on his own (the 1st half hour and the last half hour), tea break for half hour and singing together for 1/2 hour. there were 2 teachers there, 1 was native speaker and 1 local teacher)most of the time, it was the native speaker talking to the kids.
so, if your objective of sending yr kid to playgroup was similar to me, just find somewhere which was near yr home.It is not worth to travel relative long distance just to play with yr own kid.At last, i join Hilltots in Tai Hang Road, whch was a english speaking playgroup. it was cheap and near my residence.(the campus was not as good as victoria.)

The reasons that I consider Victoria play group is their places are clean, with 1 foreign teacher and I also heard that once joined their playgroup may have priority to get into the nursury. I understand that there are not much AM nusury classes in lower Kornhill, thus I think there might be some advantage. Besides, I agree that we cannot expect that there will be plenty things taught in the playgroup, but at least the baby can get familar with othe kids, learn some discipline and it's better than letting him stay with the maids at home.

If there's any mom have experience of their kids studying playgroup or nursury in this two schools (Victoria and 啟思) before, please give some comments. Thanks.

我而家重waiting等海峰個間plagroup，佢地話要7月或8月先會有位，但我想知清楚pg內容，可否給我些資料呢？

我所知的只有1位外籍老師及1位本地老師，有tea break and 唱遊向頭同尾個半個鐘到。其他就一無所知。佢地向中間的時間會做d物呢？有無中或英文堂呢？有無做運動呢？小朋友學唔學到野呢？

因我囡囡現在都上緊一間幾好的pg，只是見維記價錢合理想比囡囡試下轉下環境玩下姐。但想知清楚d關於些pg詳程，因不想停左舊個間，跟住返維記如覺得唔好又要返轉頭讀返舊個間，好鬼煩。最主要我係住九龍的，需然車程唔係來，但要特登過去返pg。

中間的時間會做d物呢？
有玩具及書在課室,自己同BB玩,老師間中同BBSay hello.
有無中或英文堂呢？
中文堂一定冇,唱遊時老師講英文,我想不算英文堂
有無做運動呢？
有D叫tumble tots(dont know the spelling)既活動,每人玩一兩下就完
小朋友學唔學到野呢？
唔覺學到野,不過好過响屋企對住工人,有多D小朋友stimulate 下佢咁law
長途走過HK,我個人認為不值
