瑪利諾小學是一間津貼小學,係計分入的,冇得面試.讀邊間幼稚園都冇關係.只要夠分就可以.

Yes, as what teresaman said 入瑪利諾小學是計分入+冇得面試.

So, firstly, why don't you count how many points you have got first. There are only a very few pupils could get into this school with 15 points (first daughter+ ages between 5.8 -7 yrs old).

Secondly, where do you live. Certainly, if you live in net 41, there is a higher changes getting into this school.
However, the competition is still even keen, the ratio of getting into this school in cental allocation (we usually call it Lucky Draw) was around 1:9 last 2 years.

Finally, why some parents believe that studying in famous kindergarten would be a higher changes in getting into Maryknoll because parents are allowed to ask for a seat in the 'Third' around' (After cental alloation). The school is allowed to choose the students they like only in this section . Honestly, there are only a few seat avaliable, and so they would prefer to choose students who perform well in their famous kindergarten.

For what I knew, they would prefer to choose students from 'St Catherine' and 'Kentville' in this round.

20 years ago, i believed some of the popular kindergartens that MCS fancy are kentville and st catherine.
situation might have changed nowadays since MCS retained its government aided status and not turning private. among non private primary girls school i think MCS is still placed the top. compared to private, i think DGS becomes the top but i think MCS is still much better than the private heepyun and good hope. (in kowloon side)

Will there 're be any chance that MCS will 'turn' private in the coming years? And will there be points counted if the mom is a former Maryknoller? I want my daughter to study here as I personally experienced that it's a good school for me in my childhood. But I'm not sure if the quality of teaching has changed over the years. And I heard that Maryknoll will be 'recruiting' students from central ballot, will that have effects on the quality of students

I'm still very confused with the govt's 'education reform' and I'm thinking should I give my daughter go to private schools or just follow my path

She's now only 20 months and she'll be in nursery school very soon and will need to get application forms for kindergartens this coming fall. I really want to plan ahead if possible.
