Under the existing allocation system, if a primary school has only 54 p1 students received after the first round and second round, can the school open two classes, or just one class?

If the school can just open one class of 32 students, is it meant that the remaining 54-32 = 22 would be placed in another school?

Please enlightened if anyone has information.

你講的情況是否首輪及二輪各次收生27位，學校一共提供54個學額予政府小一派位？如果學校一班是32人的話，咪少了10人？呢個情況好多時是學校預留的學位，多說是留給留班生的，但實際好少P.1就留班的，咁呢D會成為學校自己的學位，所以好多時都見有家長向學校敲門做standby，學校多數只在7，8月先release學位出黎，學校應該是開兩班的。

我再睇你既提問，你想問的究竟是學校提供足夠學位但收生不足還是學校提供的學額似乎少於開班人數？我上面回答的是後者。

學校提供足夠學位但收生不足 yes

in fact I have talked to two headmasters in school visit, both saying that they totally recieved about 54 in first and second round totally. But ED just let them open one class-32 students (ED originally offer them to open 2 classes before the school allocation exercise). The remaining 54-32=22 applying students has to be placed in other schools. If this policy is applied to all schools, it meant we are more difficult to go to target school (if the school cannot have enough students) in 2nd round, right?
