In my opinion, Kumon is definitely not suitable for kids gifted in Math. Math is about problem solving, understanding & application. If the training is on speed, it is a waste of time. We should inspire them on what the formula is about, the concept behind, and let them explore.
Don't train them to be mechanical, especially when they are young.

1) Area is not calculated by using 3cm x 3cm x 3cm = ?

2) Doing Maths in a fun way is a good idea but how to implement it is.....

Nowaday,  it is many Primary kids can do Primary 4 or 5 maths questions.
In China, age 7 kids can learn above:-
Calculate the Area:
3cm x 3cm x 3cm = ?
Solve the Faction
1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 =?
Solve a formula: if a =4, b=5,c=6
3a+2b+4c=?
10000x30,99999x20,88888x10......
11x11=    , 111x111= , 1111x 1111=
We can set some funny maths games for kids at school.  Let them play.

No need to follow the old HK syslibus.
