reading book is just one of the necessary to writing, but in order to write well , I think the kid at least need to be able to retrieve words from his brain quickly, have good organisation power, the power to learn writing from readingetc.
my son love reading but cannot write good passage. I think the problem is that school teacher will not correct his composition very seriously, and he doesn't see the correction at all. In doing his writing he refuse to let me correct or write draft.
my friend teach me : buy exercise of writing for him to do, with model writing. Compare his writing with the model, and analysis the difference. My son is in p3, and always do TSA exercise at school. I buy the model writing for his TSA exercise and compare with his. (he won't do the writing exercise assigned by me). Just write more simply do not work.
