請問有沒有小朋友已經報名?
小女獲學校推薦參賽, 今天收到香港數學奧林匹克協會來信邀請参加賽前培訓班(學費$1380)

因不太瞭解是什麼一回事,有沒有曾經參賽小朋友之家長可以分享下, 唔該

Hi 24孝阿媽,
I spoke with my girl's teacher yesterday.He told me that named 港澳盃of this competition previously instead of 華夏盃 and never asked to join any course. But for this year, may be they can need some money to run the operation. This is not insist to join their course. For my girl school, teacher will give her exercise for training up. So, she will not join the course.
Further, school limited to send max. 6 students of each level for competition.
Hope you can understand a bit here.

CINDYC,
How is 華夏盃 different from Olympic Maths? My son is also chosen by his school, the teacher is giving him some exercises to do, but I find that the sums are two forms above his standard and they are not like olympic maths. I feel much pressure as he represents his school to join the competition. Where can I know more about this competition and where can I see sample or past paper?

Sorry, I really don't know what's the difference in between. But regarding to the 華夏盃 competition, I spoke with teacher and he asked me don't push my daughter too much. As her school principal would like them to get somemore experience, that's all!

華廈杯

其實這是一個內地的數學比賽。
內地不同種類數學比賽為數不少，如：

迎春杯(p.3-6, 2/12/07, 至少10屆)
快樂數學夏令營(####,英語作答, 1/1/08)
華羅庚杯(P.5-6, 3/08, 今年第13屆)
希望杯(P.4-6, 16/3/08, 今年小學第6屆)
奧數之星(P.3-6, 唯一一年舉行兩次的比賽, 來年改名做「華夏杯．奧數之星」)

而你見到的課程只係香港一間團體(唔知係唔係牟利)所舉辦課程，而該團體是香港協辦該比賽的聯絡機構。

首先，你可以到www.hkmo.org看看
華夏杯即係以前的奧數之星冬令營, 今年於6/1/08舉行
港澳杯今年好似係第四屆，以往在科大和澳門同時舉行, 今年移師polyu, 於27/1/08舉行.
由於舉辦機構相同，所以會容易混淆。
華夏杯只接受小三至小六學生參加；港澳杯今年接受小一至中三同學參加
