gogocat,
20 marks did not guarantee a place in MCS or MPS last year.
...I used to think that all the children with same marks will be considered equally
The combination of marks does not make any difference in the 1st stage. But in the 'knock door' stage, the 5-alumni-mark usually has preference over the 5-religion-mark.
...如果20分都係抽,睇運氣,不如博MCS
You are right that you have to try your luck anyway. 'Luck' is something that really unpredicatable!
If you are lucky enough, your child will get a place no matter how many competitors are there. However, if you are of bad luck, your child won't get a place even when 99% of applicants succeed.
...我成日覺得marymount relatively 少人爭D
In terms of numbers, it is very possible that there are lesser applicants in MPS. Then, theoretically, the probability of getting a place in MPS is higher. Still, no guarantee.
In your case,
1st stage: MCS should have more 20-mark applicants than MPS. It's absolutely your choice depending on how you initerpret 'luck'.
2nd stage: There should be more net-41 applicants than that of net-12. Also a matter of 'luck'.
'Knock door' stage: Unless connected, or very, very smart kids; the chance to get in MPS or MCS is equally slim. |
