Any Gigamind parents can share this year's results? Have a lot of students got accepted by international schools or local school? And, which schools mainly?
Sounds good! The principal said it's a band 1 school, but Iheard parents saying that the school is quite loose and teachers come and go. So I'm a bit confused!
My kid may join Gigamind this year, so we would very much like to know more about the school. Can you please share more info? Are you a parent of Gigamind student?
Whether a school is good or not depends on what you expect. To me, I'm sure I've made a right choice for my son. He will be a P.6 student soon and he has 6-year enjoyable school days. You never know which school is the best for your child and what will he become. After all, school education is not everything to our baby. Parents contribution is crucially important.
You are quite right 2496. But, really, before I get to know a school, I don't know if it's the kind of education environment we are looking for.
To me, my expectations are:
1. happy learning experience (which I think it's positive as from your reply)
2. well qualified teachers (can't get any info from school web site, and the info on Education Bureau website is outdated)
3. well-design and implemented curriculm (again can't get much detail from school website)
4. school-parent collaboration (really working hand-in-hand, not just newsletters or annual meeting)
For primary school, I also think language education is of utmost importance, as good language abilities mean good foundation for personal development/growth.
The principal could have addressed the above in the school's open day, but unfortunately, I missed it.
Would you mind sharing your views? So you mean your son is happy, and are you satisfied with his learning as well?
