Could you elaborate more on "如果你的小朋友受到壓力而同時間家長可以跟到功課", did you mean the pressure is really heavy for the first school?  Your kid study there?

上星期六小兒上興趣班, 同學仔是讀軒小(p1), 她爸爸話對上一個星期六因為考試沒有上興趣班, (我個仔都係讀小一當時又係考緊試, 都有去上興趣班喎), 佢話平時要做成三個小時功課, 因為個個都想讀精英班, 入到精英班就好大機會入皇仁同羅氏, (果入唔到精英班派位就同讀其他學校沒咁分別), 頂唔順, 現在正幫他女兒搞轉校(提過報讀港大同學會). 佢話要比錢幫個女報補習社, 計起上黎同讀私小差唔多, 而且人地重有中學直升(其實唔係直升, 係大部分有得升). 唔想咁辛苦咁話. 重同我講如果你鐘意軒小, 去插班啦, 因為好多人都走左.

以上只作參考, 只係個家長咁講, 我個人就覺得軒小唔錯, 但因當時知道好難入, 而且我有宗教分, 入到同宗教小學機會相當大, 加上想個仔從小在學校能有聖經敎導, 所以去年沒有報軒小.

讀不讀軒小, 真係要看看妳個小朋友的情況, 和妳對他的期望了.

My friend's son studied at Hennessy Govt. PM a couple of years ago.  After finished P.1, he transfered to another school because my friend didn't want his son to spend long long hours on homework.
As my girl was allocated to HG pm this year, I have some info about HGpm.
It has a class that chinese language lessons are conducted in Mandarin.  But if you are in this class, even if you rank top in exam, you will not be allocated to 精英班.  In addition, it is by lucky draw and the chance of getting in Mandarin class is about 1/3.  The school teaches phonics and there is native english speaker to teach every student english, i forgot whether it is 1 or 2 lessons per week.  
Majority of students are boys.
