其實這個方法是否最好呢! 又係唔係好多你都為了英文好d請菲庸, 但我老公唔鍾意請菲庸, 佢話唔鍾意多個人係到住.

Totally agree to goldenage....

For developing a good English standard, the one who can help the most are the parents. Alternatively, you may send your child to some English-speaking course. The standard of Pilipinos' English is similar to the Mandarin standard of Hong Kongers in general in my point of view!

好過無lor~~我個女由細到大都係菲傭湊,佢會俾其仔小朋友好少少,但只識聽,吾識講同寫.所以一向以來,listening是100分,oral不高分,grammer亦是大約80分左右.佢地教英文,吾教好過教,做錯晒都吾知.但如果係教cambridge 英語或英文拼音會好d,因為好多香港人吾識既生字,我都吾識教,要問佢地lor~.

我個仔有好多同學都有菲庸﹐但小兒只是oral唔夠佢高分﹐我曾經都有這様的誤解﹐但發覺菲庸grammar同發音都好唔掂

其實好多英文叻的小朋友係父母或補習得來的﹐而唔係菲庸呀

我囝囝4.5years d英文不太好想去快d學識, 但自己和老公英文不太好, 現在囝囝一星期只學一堂英文. 但有個問題出年選小一學校, 我應否選英文小學好呢!

If I were you, I'll definitely let him try the English Primary School. I think not all the subjects in an English Primary School are teached in English orally but the book they're using should be in English. It helps to keep their English standard rather than using the Chinese book. I really don't believe what the Education Dept promoting now - teaching in native language. It may make the children more easier to understand the theory or concept perhaps. However, it also makes their English standard getting lower and lower! Few years ago, I heard a rumour that the central Chinese official is trying to make the students' level between HK & mainland closer. I didn't believe that at the very beginning but I did after I heard the mother tongue teaching plan promoted by the Education Dept! We parents should try our very best to keep our kids' standard no matter what the central government is doing.

我好煩！因大部份名校都係谷，　但派中學派得好，　但活動ｄ學校派位不太好

，　有無兩全其美學校呀！！！（可否用中文）

有能力我都俾小朋友讀英小.有d野吾上係谷,亦係浸出來.長期用英文讀寫,總好過用幾千蚊請個一星期講幾個鍾既西人啦.小朋友彈性大,你吾俾佢學,佢一定吾會好.你俾佢學,佢吾得既你就幫佢lor~~我吾鍾意活動教學,因為中學都吾興活動教學.咁有咩野用姐...(個人意見)老實講,自己吾得,梗希望仔女將來叻過父母啦...你吾識,佢未自發d去學lor~~教番你tim~~

請佢返o黎做家務就好,但教英文就一定唔得,佢地D發音同gramma都唔掂,你唸住請佢返o黎教小朋友英文,點知個小朋友教返佢廣東話,我樓下o個個bun bun就係咁,佢地而加返而用廣東話溝通。

So, my kids d 英文 do 好好, coz my kids can prastise their English with my maid everyday

Sorry that I couldn't type Chinese very good and I'll have to search for the character I need in the web if I need to clip some Chinese characters in my note. :cry: Perhaps I'll buy a pen-based device later. I agree with ydoris that kids will have better English if their daily study is involved with English. As what the Chinese proverb says, it doesn't have a needle with two sharp ends. What we can do is just try our very best to give our children a good studying environment within the area we can control! :wink:

唔知係唔係, 讀過IPA(即國際音標課程), 至發現原來港式英語發音好多都錯, 我問屋企個印傭英文, 佢D發音仲好過我但gammer就唔知la, 未上堂前我都以為係工人發音錯+唔好, 原來一直係自己錯. e.g. (o'clock)原來唔係讀(o)音架......

我係請左識英文的印傭, 囝囝同工人成日be..li..ba..la 講多左好多英文, 當然學校都有影響啦........但至少屋企個環境令佢夠膽講+學識多左英文生字.....

不過以上都係個人情況, 實際每人都不同.......
