My girl was admitted by both St. Stephen's Girls' Kinder and Sheng Kung Hui Kinder for K2 in the coming year, and I need to decide whether to register St. Stephen's Girls before 26.4.07!

Some people said as the birth rate in 2003 is low, the entrance rate to St. Stephen's Primary is greater, and I also heard that SKH is also a good kinder.

I'm not living in net 11 and I got only 15 marks. Does anyone knows how is SSKG and suggest whether it's worthwhile to enter SSKG ?

Any BK mom knows the lowest admittance rate of SSKG to St. Stephens" Primary in the past? If they were not admitted to St. Stephens' Primary, where would they normally go to?

Which SKH? (central or Mt. Butler?) I don't know the rate but if I were you I will choose SSKG. Both schools are good. But SSKG at least more chance to go to its primary school. Your daughter will be easier to adapt the environment and the life in P1. Which K1 your daughter attending now?

However you can also think about the traffic, too. Is your daughter going to take school bus? Or you take her to school. I have the same problem last week. How to choose between 2 schools? At last, I choose the easier traffic.

Thanks Irian! The SKH is in Mt. Butler. Actually I live in North Point and which school my girl enter she need to go by school bus. My daughter is now studying in Victoria and the travelling distance is very short. However, I want her to go to traditional primary school like SSKG. I only worry that she can't go to St. Stephen's Primary after studying SSKG.

Does anyone knows the lowest admittance rate of SSKG to St. Stephens" Primary in the past? If they were not admitted to St. Stephens' Primary, where would they normally go to?

Congrautions to you and your daughter!!

This is my idea to share with you. I have a friend's daughter, she studied in SSGK when she was K.2.
At the beginning,, we thought this school is very good for acadamic. But when she finished the K2 Level... she doesn't having the English everyday in school.Only 2 times a week with around 20 minutes.
So my friend need to arrange her to join other centre to learn in English. She was so lucky because her daughter can continue to stay in Primary School.But move it to Aberdeen already. It will be back at 2008..2009 like that. Now her English is not very good. She need to spend the time for her daughter in English every night. The school is Not Enough too...

And I can tell you .. if your daughter studued in Kindergarten..it's not 100% go straight to Primary.
that's depands of your house address. And How many marks you got? I mean first born baby . Religion etc .... I heard many girls can't go to Primary School..Take it easy amd make the decision clearly.

Thanks so much for your information! Maybe I'm too confused in these few days. May I make clear the following things? Do you mean that St. Stephen's Primary is not enough or only its kinder? Is the English level of St. Stephen's Primary high enough? and the primary school had moved to Aberdeen? I've prepared to let my girl have extra English lesson if she moves to SSKG. However, is it still insufficient?

Sorry for asking so many questions, but it's really a headache to choose as it seems to lose the opportunity of such a famous kinder if I do not register SSKG, but, will my girl have more opportunity if she goes to SKH?.......

On the other hand, does anyone knows if the SSKG students were not admitted to St. Stephens' Primary, where would they normally go to?
