My boy will be attending K1 at ESF Tsing Yi (2007) morning session.  Is there any kid will be the classmate of my boy?

Do you live in Tsing Yi or around? As I live in Yuen Long, it's quite far away from the school and I still  thinking to join the school bus or not.

Yes, I also got the 2006/2007 school calender.

As stated in the admission letter, ESF "Randomly" allocate a morning or afternoon session to kids and I don't know how many classes in the morning session.

Hi,

I actually live in Tsing Yi and thought about sending my kid to ESF (Tsing YI) mainly because it's so close to my home and save travelling time for my son.  however, I am very concerned that they do not teach Chinese in the school .  So I am just wondering would you guys mind that your kids won't know how to write chinese if going to ESF for kindergartens?

I plan to teach my boy Chinese by myself as I think knowing Chinese is also very important.  My boy has attended nursery for 4 months and he knows some simple Chinese such as 爸爸, 媽媽, 哥哥, etc.

But if you want your baby has good Chinese, ESF may not be the best choice.

I am also living in Tsing Yi and I just received acceptance letter for my girl. I also concern the thing as you, so I do not know what should I choose....

Hi DYPT,

Just want to share some of my experence sending my boy to ESF, I and my husband want our boy to have a happy kinder school life and we know he may not aquire some basic skills (e.g. writing as well as recoginaizing Chinese charaters) if he study in the local kinder.

But we believe ESF can develop my boy's other skills such as good spoken English, more creative, independent, more pro-active...  

Thus, I think the most important thing is that what kind of education you want your girl to receive before making a decision.

My son has been accepted by ESF (TY) as well a week ago and we will attend the introduction tour on coming 19 March for the 3rd smester starting from April 2007.  We were told my son would be in morning session.

But, can anybody advise if there is any problem of applying the primary school (Beacon Hill) in coming Sept 07 if my son can only start the school with ESF from April 2007.

Hi,
But the first round interview for BHS should have been done already. Current students of ESF Tsing Yi should have got offers from BHS (for those who passed the interviews). You'd better check with Jeni, the headmistress. But I wonder if there are still places left for BHS.

My son will be at K1 morning class in April 2007, and continue K2 with ESF (TY).  He will apply the seat of BHS for Sept 2008.  May I share your experience of application procedures ?
