Me too, my son also got A.M. session from both school....so 頭痛.....which one would u prefer more...

你指課外活動？我會揀在外面找興趣班。我唔揀sc係因為上次去參觀校舍時，覺得sc好似迷宮咁要轉幾個彎，走廊窄，又要行一條很長的樓梯上課室，環境唔係咁好。而且佢地標榜英文好，但只係k1有雙班主任，而k2及k3只係1個中文班主任，咁同其他學校無分別，以sc的學費，如果我真係要小朋友英文好叻，我就會揀1間真係外籍老師教授的國際幼稚園比小朋友讀都得啦。我希望我的小朋友品行良好、有自律又有自學能力，我個女性格比較乖聽話，而小學我亦會揀傳統學校，所以兩者我會揀根德。雖然常聽到人講根德的壞處，但自己未試過又點知係唔係真係唔適合讀呢。其實我都未必一定會讀根德，不過就留位先，因為仲有3間幼稚園未面試。

Me too. But very likely I'll register Kentville coz' discipline & all-round academic especially some "test-paper for P1 entry exam" exercise in K3 (TBC further) should facilitate P1 hit rate. pls correct me if I'm wrong. thx :wink:

我姑仔大仔讀過kentville 而家已經P.2 個妹就係 st. catherine 讀緊 k1, 佢話 kentville比較傳統, 學校無活動唔係指課外活動係 halloween party 都無得生日會開, k2 就要寫好多版字仲要默字, 不過上到小學就 handle 得比其他小朋友快表現出色 d, st. catherine 佢話活動d 英文比 kentville 仲好d, 2 間比較應該 st. catherine 好 d 喎.

I think the level of English of the child cannot totally rely on the school. Parent's effort cannot be neglected. I think maths is better in Kentville because they have mental.

I totally agree with HuiTung. Though I would also reserve a seat in SC, most likely I'll let my child to take Kentville. I think everyone would easily adapt to open learning like SC but it would be hard to train up a bb in a tough real world environment like Kentville.

Dear all,
上年我都是同樣面臨這個決定，究竟根德園好d定係sc好,最後還是選擇根德園，因為覺得這間學校的程度好好，小朋友有紀律，同埋英文絕不遜色於sc，尢其是咬字十分好，功課未有壓力。其實，以前會有同樣想法，入根德園會有好多功課，小朋友會好辛苦....但我覺得壓力都是我們家長給予，其實學校的老師已經用很多活動教學的方法去教，令到學生好開心，包括囡囡,他們都是從玩樂中學習，完全唔覺得唔開心，而且老師同家長都有密切聯絡，雖然沒有家長會，但如有什麼事，老師都會講給妳知，而且找老師傾，也會即日覆。
希望以我這個過來人，可以幫到各位吧！

Thank for your sharing, ansonmom,

Although Kentville is regarded as a traditional (+activity), I've consulted some experience teachers engaging in early childhood education, that the child can participate in some activities to balance the deficiency. Such activities can be multiple-intellegence program, drawing, etc. so that the child still have some sort of creativity at the end. Do you agree with that?
