有無家長日常只用中文同小朋友溝通,教英文單字,無用菲傭,讀主流班(有本地及外籍老師)每天上課,返了K1兩個月後,你們覺得他們英語有無進步,會否已學會一句你從無聽過的英語.我只覺囝囝學多了單字,但未會突然講一句你無聽過的英語.會否我要求高了,還是學校未達水準.

妳的小朋友讀的學校是不是每天都有外籍英文老師? 每日有多少時間?  因一般幼稚園不是每日都有外籍英文老師的，一星期只有一或二日，所以如果妳小朋友是讀這類幼稚園，這情況是正常的。

如妳選擇一些每天都有外籍英文老師上英文堂的幼稚園，小朋友的英文程度比較好的，但這些幼稚園一般都不是非牟利的。

My son is now K2.  Starting from this year, I let him have 2 private English lessons a week.  During the lesson, he will read (read a loud) English stories with the tutor.  

After that, my son improves a lot in pronunciation and have more confident in speaking English.  Now when he meet some foreigners in the street, he will try to talk with them.

My son is studying Yau Yat Cheun School.  Non profit making.  School fee less than $24k a year.  有外籍老師.  English lesson around 30 mins everyday.

English lesson in school can train my son in listening.  However, talking about speaking English, I think my son gain more in his private lesson because of fewer students and therefore more chance to talk.
