The child has to be at least 5 years old to enter RAD exam, whether it's graded exam or presentation class.

3.5 years. My daughter will attend the first Ballet Exam in the coming June 2006. This ballet examination is new which is also organised by RAD. But I think that it is a causal one.

My daughter attended Australia Exam in her 3.5 year-old.
Now she is 4.5 year-old and is going to attend her first 皇家芭蕾舞試 in coming June

Unless it's a different exam or there's a change in the exam regulations, the minimum age should be 5 (pre-primary) according to the RAD website. If it's only a demonstration class, the recommended age is 2.5+ for level one and 3.5+ for level two.

Sandrine is right.
My girl is 6 and she has just attended the PP RAD exam today at Jean Wong ballet school. She has been learning ballet for 2 years. This is the 1st exam she had so far.

My daughter is 4.5 year-old in June and she is going to have RAD Exam: Pre-Primary on coming 1st week of June

Normally, it is required children to go Pre-Primary at 5 year-old, but I talked to my ballet school teacher before that they can let children go for Pre-Primary at 4, 1 year earlier than other children, it is because they have attended the Australia Dance Exam at 3. I am very happy with this arrangement

RAD offers the demonstration class, which will have examination too and their examiners will chair the exam. My daughter will attend this exam for Level One in a group format, which will last about half an hour. If the students can perform well, then RAD will issue a certificate for the demonstration class to her. This exam is a new one which was announced last year. And not much ballet school offers this course.

大家好呀

我囡囡五歳半, 學左ballet 一年半, 佢好鐘意ballet,
我地學左無幾耐時導師已經叫我地番twice a week, but
我地時間編排唔到,到左而家想考試, 導師又話要番twice
a week , 但真真真係安排唔到比佢 ... 難道番唔到兩堂
就唔可以報考試 ? ...

  好煩呀

      另又想請問通常幾時開始報考試 ? primary大約幾多錢? 係咪一定要考左pre-primary 先可以考primary or
grade ? 正式進行考試又會係幾時呢 ?

   sorry 呀實在太多問題了 ,  :-|  真係好煩希望可以
快d 解決呢個問題 ... 請多多指敎

Yes, my daughter is required to take ballet lesson twice a week, then the school will arrange RAD exam for her.

My daughter joins RAD Exam on June every year.
