hi all,

My daughter's ballet school is charging very high performance fee, no matter it is school annual performace or open performance in public area. Does it worth to pay for that? Is this a common practice for a ballet school to charging the performance fee? Please share.

The high performance fee is mainly from the rental of the dress. Usually a tutu will rent you for $400-500. If you have to be in the performance, you had to pay for the "uniform" -- I mean the dress. Ballet in fact is a very high cost activity -- the pointe shoes, the dress, for everything, they are expensive.

My daughter's ballet school usually arrange 3-5 times open performance a year to let the children gain more experience, but the school didn't charge anything on performance fee or costume for performance, even my daughter just attended TVB"兒歌金曲頒獎典禮" on September
