我BB就8個月大了,日日o係屋企同BB都唔知做D咩好,市面上實在太多英文教材,都唔知點簡好,可以分享下嗎?同埋平時會同BB做D咩架?

我 BB都係8個月,每日都會叫工人同仔仔玩BB Montessoris, Huarry English 1, Phonics Kingdom ,Flash Card , Story Book, kid's song, 三字經和唐詩
星期六就返 playgroup

我囡囡2歲,由1歲開始每日都同佢玩montessori~
囡囡而家每日會拎故事書同我一齊睇,
有時我講,有時佢講...

下星期佢開始番幼兒中心喇...我仲緊張過佢呀！！！

4個月就開始學前教育了...現在佢有好多生字都認識...color, shape, flag, 百科....

Hi!

Listen to CD of classical music, english and chinese children's songs; Language - english, french, mandarin, and looking for japanese and spanish, including story telling and songs.
Spoken language when bb is sleepy(better absorption)
Language absorption is in the peak before 12 months, babies have the ability to differenciate different language in this precious period.
Read book together with bb everyday.
Thinking of flash cards of different language too, but hv to do some more searching in the internet.
I hv just started for some time, as my b is only a few months, and may i say thankyou to all the mami/s who have contribute a lot in the early education topics, i hv learnt a lot from them.
We all add oil ar!

Where do you find materials for japanese and spanish? I'm considering how to introduce more language to my girl.

If you want flash cards in different languages, here is a software that supposes English, Japanese, French, Spanish, and Italian. (I only find it recently, never use it.) Picture Dictionary

I recently found french and spanish in a kid education store, they mainly sell children's books and toys.
Not yet discovered japanese one, actually i want to go to local book store to compare the spoken language there to the one that i have brought.

Many chinese bookstores carry language package for a much cheaper price. But I'm concerned about the quality and whether the words are pronouced correctly. Just not sure how to choose. (Specially on the language I don't know.)

I'm thinking of language class for my girl, after I know some basic, I can choose some material for home-play then. What do yuo think?

How old is your b? You mean playgroup? If just join language class i am afraid that they can't really concentrate, but ofcourse depends how old is your b.
You are right, this is one of the thing that i am concern of about quality of those package, as we don't know the language.
I want my daughter to listen to different language, and once she want to learn any one of those when she grew up, she will feel more easy to tackle.
I am now looking for flash cards, if possible, one more language other than english and mandarin, if possible,music too(but just thinking, may not have so much time and energy

)
Any other good idea?

  My girl is 17 months, seems too small for any 學術性 playgroup.  But if you believe baby learns language best as mothertongue before 3yrs, sooner the better.

  I don't know how much babies can concentrate or learn during class, they just hate to be tested. When I have my first trial Japanese class, my girl seems to be having fun; she tried to "ah ah ah" when the teacher played the flash  cards.  So you might want to trial the class and see.  VCD is good for listening, but hardly encourage the babies to say, I think.

  O, don't underestimate your baby.  First, just because they don't want to answer, doesn't mean they don't know. Secondly, they only have one toddler year.  Third, I met a 11 months baby taking 3 languages classes, she is one happy baby at class.

  For your information, Little Dynamites has flash card for music, music note to be exact.  There is a bookstore, Bookzen at Lee Garden II, carrying flash card for foreign languages.  If you want some books or CD from Amazon, they can order for you without service charges.  Please ask them for details.

Thanks so much for sharing your precious experience and other information, i always querry about how much toddlers enjoy/learn in different short language playgroups.
It is so good to learn more, as my b is still in her few months old(still early^^)
BTW, i have brought a spanish learning package in 天地book store today, seems better quality, there are so many languages to choose there, and they are not as expensive compare with those which is esp. target for kids.  As what i want is just fluent language speaking for my daughter to listen right now.  I will hv a try, if that is good, i will buy the french also.
I will check the course information with 'little dynamites' .  I am happy that you mentioned music flash card also, as i hv thought of puting music notes in flash cards, to experiment whether i can trained her gaining perfect pitch, although no body know if she is born with or being trained if she got it later, but success of not, i will try.
Did you use any flash cards of any language, as your child is 17months, a good age for this.  If yes, how's she going now?

O, don't underestimate your baby! It's never too early for baby to learn language.

Babies just won't tell us how much they know.

I didn't start language trainning for my girl til now. I used to be more casual, just pointing here & there and singing in English. But I find my girl know a lot now, words like umbrella, ABC's and numbers. So I really need to kick my butt for not starting early.

You are planning well for your baby!

Right now, I use pps to flash English card with my girl, she just sit there, not emotion on her faces. But if I flash little cards and let her sit in my lap, she seems to be happier. I don't know how much she learn in either ways, but I'll keep more channels of learning.

how do you play phonics kingdom to your b? i just played it (bought from GC) once everyday, for 5 alphabets each time. so still on book 1A now.

yamaneko, it is good that your girl is still very young to educate

btw, the spanish that i bought yesterday is not suitable for bb, as it consist spanish and english explanation. Maybe we should find some story telling cds which Spanish and French will buy for their kids.
What is 'pps' ar? And have you think of the future kindergarten for your girl yet?

Baby Einstrin has a language VCD, contains 5 languages, (I think) you might want to try that.

pps is a powerpoint files. You can make slide show for your baby, with sound and music. I'm a starter!

Oh, kindergarten, it's the matter of next year la. Too much to do right now.

我係在職媽咪,所以arrange schedule 比工人同仔仔玩,基本上係冇限定咩時間玩咩,但有限定玩咩教材,每次都要記下時間
每日都要玩教材有EH1 (教2個unit,連續5日後轉新unit),BM(any 2sets),dot card (一日玩三次,玩到91-100),phonics kingdom 是比仔仔聽CD,因為我唔想仔仔咁細個睇電視,所以冇比VCD佢睇,仔仔對ABC沒有興趣,每次聽咗幾個就冇心機,所以都係教到去G
工人唔識睇中文,所以三字經閃咭就星期六和日我同仔仔玩,仔仔對中文字好有興趣,好留心睇三字經,平時就播CD包括三字經,唐詩,kids song ,music
story book 每日講一頁,所以一個故事可以講幾日
我覺得每個教材每次玩的時間不要太長,時間太長BB冇心機去睇和聽
