Hi,

I want to teach my child putonghua at home, but I don't know where to start from. Anyone has experience?

Should I teach her 漢語拼音? I'm a little bit hesitated because I don't want to confuse her (I'm teaching her English phonics now).

Hello,

I sent my daughter to learn Mandarin from a Beijing teacher since she is 5. there are 4-5 kids at the same class. she can now speak the sentence with 拚音. I always think that more efficient to learn laungage in a class. You can still practice at home with her and that will help her to remember

Or there should be a book that teach you how to learn Mandarin at book store?

or simply borrow some CD-ROM / CD / books about Mandarin from public library.

You can try download mandarin stories in website or to buy some stories vcd in Shenzhen, this is very good for learn Beijing mandarin, and also have included...It will more funny than Mandarin classic.

For my kids, I will bring her stay Shenzhen in this summer hoilday and join 1.5 months International Kingergranden. I belive this is more easy for her learn and play in mandarin and english....After check, they have start to learn拚音on age 5. Hope can have big help for her before P.1 on Sept.
