You can phone to the Education & Manpower Bureau to confirm the boundary of the relevant school net as I did last year.
You don't have to take this step if your intending new residence situates at the centre of the school net. However, you must confirm the case if it locates at the outer area of the net, because there is possibility that your new residence in fact belongs to the net next to your dreamed one. In this connection, the opposite side on the same street in the same district can make a difference between hell and heaven (just on the issue of school net)!
The staff who answered my call was polite and helpful (but I am not sure if every staff there is the same); and she asked me the name and exact number of the street where my target premises situated before giving me the answer.
I am sorry that I didn't keep the telephone number afterwards.
