One is half-day PM school with much difficulties in arranging extra-curr. activities and kid needs to stay up late at night aslo. The other is a whole-day school but some said the standard may not be as good as SH. How will you choose?

I'd prefer SH, as the school focuses a lot on the students' behavior (though some parents may find it a bit conventional).

I think Sacred Heart is much better than Tru Light in terms of academic results, reputation and activities.

I know that the school is offering a wide range of extra-curricular activities (some are free and some are fee charging) including musical instruments and sports.

Thanks for all your advice.

I also think SH is better. But PM school is quite a problem. All her swimming class, painting, gymnastics, choir etc. has to be rescheduled on Sat afternoon or Sunday. Such a big Problem!!! What are your views?

I prefer SH! I think to choose a good school is more important than to learn a lot of activities, for me, I will change the activities to Sat or Sun.

我上星期去學校五、六年級家長會,聽黃修女講,去年頭120名都可以升番直屬中學,另廿多個去了DGS,BPS,ST.PAUL COVENT 等,派位相當理想,另外,校外評核報告,全港性系統評估,成績非常好,Percentage都高於全港.

Can you advise whether your kid is studying happily at SH? Is the school still very strict as before? Coz some of my friends said they don't quite allow free thinking / encourage kids' creativity. What do you think?

Thanks very much for your advice. But what is 主打? What are the changes? Did your colleagues' kids enjoy their school life? Will SH's students be less active and outspoken than others?

我個女是上年五年級插班生,佢好喜歡呢間學校,老師,修女都好nice,功課又唔多,平時上課是分組坐的,課外活動有很多選擇,但是要抽籤.另外由五年級開始是全日制的。
我聽我朋友個女講佢果班年年考第一名果個,是在聖心追唔上被學校西出來的,咁你自己可以想象下囉

So there must people many entrances every year, right?  Will the school teacher approach the parents and recommend them to the competition?

BTW, I learn from other chatboxes that your kid has changed to Marymount.  Is she previously studying at SH PM school?  She must be very bright and capable.  How do you compare two schools?

係呀,都好多人參加好多項目架

其實好難比較的呀........兩間都係好好既學校,睇佢地中學會考成績就知了........睇下你buy邊個concept既啫........我就鐘意輕鬆的,聖心比較競爭大少少,升中係一個關口

In fact MM is my dream school since it is nearer to my home and it is a whole-day school. Did your girl join them in P.2? Is it difficult and did she need to take any assessment test?
