Anyone bought flash card kits from Kinderu? They said they are from Singapore and consist of everything, therefore quite expensive. Are they worthy of buying?

yes $2000+ for 2 boxes of cards is not cheap but I still bought volume 1 and II for my son, I also bought the crawling track plus 10 IM lessons........totally spent $8000 but luckily my hubby didnt complaint because its for our son's good!!! But I like the programmes which Mrs. Ho introduced into KinderU from around the world. My daughter is taking 2 lessons from KinderU also!

me too!!! I also join KinderU IM class three times a week, that's really good!! my daughter join since she's one years old, now she's 18 months, she can speak and sing with english!!! so even it's expensive, but it's still 值得!!!!!

Hi kannes, CherylMommy, and Totopiggy,

I also let my girl going to IM class (in Chi Fu Fa Yuen) 3 times a week for about 1 month. For now, not much results seen from my girl.

But I did buy 3 boxes of flash cards costing $4000+, oh well, hope it worth the $$$.

Hello all,

What languages/classes are your children attending? I've joined the toddler right mind (English/Mandarin) and wondering if I should join the French too. Would it confuse the child?

I think if u are taking KinderU / right mind kindy (and u believe in them), u shouldn't be asking this question la, because it is the philosophy of KinderU that learning different languages won't confuse a baby, they are even more likely to speak like a native the earlier they are exposed to different languages! Mrs. Ho's little son is also taking 3 languages but he takes 2 first then later add another 1 i think.

I went to check out the flash cards in KinderU. Personally I think the Maths cards (costing $1,788) are not worth buying, because they are simple and similar to GC flash cards (costing $380), except that KinderU one also has Numberal cards (i.e. numbers written on a card) and a How To Teach Your Baby Math book.

But the English flash cards, I think KinderU version is better than GC. I haven't asked what's the difference for Vol. 1 and 2 though.
KinderU's costs $2,289 for 2 volumes and GC's costs $664. But KinderU's words are clearer and bigger, they also have couplets and phrases, and also more cards. Particularly if u r taking IM class in KinderU, i think its better to have the same set of cards to teach your baby at home and in class.

For Chinese flash cards, it depends on whether u want to flash simplified or traditional Chinese characters. KInderU's is simplified and GC's is traditional. KinderU's has more cards and also have phrase and sentence cards. KinderU's is much more expensive! ($2,725 vs. $823).

我想請問一下im 是什麽課堂？kinderu 提供哪幾種不同的課程？我聼了大家討論了那麽多關於他的課程，也有興趣想參加。

還有，和他們有聯係的占美幼稚園、rightmind 幼稚園，大家又有沒有認識，究竟好不好呢？有沒有人試過呢？可以提供一下資料嗎？謝謝！

im stands for intelligence multiplier which is for children under 2 years of age, I think. They also have toddler right mind. One can choose Mandarin, English and French. Perhaps you can join their seminar (every Tue and Thurs evening) to find out more.

My boy is attending the toddler's right mind programme at Kinderu. I won't join Jimmy or Rightmind as it is too far for me (I live in Kowloon). When my boy goes to nursey in August, I will see if any of their programmes fits into his schedule and decide what to do.

我囡囡響香港仔上過playgroup,我覺得個教師說話唔得吸引小朋友去聽,可能唔夠經驗掛...
我囡囡之前響小霹靂上過...個老師一講野佢己經好專心望住,不過小霹靂對於我黎講太遠了.
