Book about gifted kids
Mind workout for gifted kids

Summary
The terms 'gifted', 'bright', 'intelligent'. 'able' and talented are used everyday but can mean different things to different people. Few children are gifted in all areas; most have marked aptitudes in one or more fields and some children who are more able will have special needs.
Mind Workout for Gifted Kids is a pack containing a guide for parents and a puzzle book for gifted kids. Guide helps parents understand what is means to be gifted and assess whether their child is above average. It looks at all the common problems associated with gifted children including lack of concentration in class and their relationship with other children and the teachers. The book looks at issues like how to treat your own child if s/he is gifted and all the misconceptions about gifted children. It gives an overview of teaching methods – whether children should be separated, the pros and cons of skipping a year and home schooling. At the end of this volume there is a useful resources section for further information.
The puzzle book is divided into skill areas testing arithmetic, word skills and general knowledge. This should be given to a child to have fun with and learn from.
