Any mom will give up St.Catherines this week?
As my girl is on waiting list, I just want to count if I will have chance or not.

BTW, I still have not yet received Kenville's acceptance letter for 2nd round..

Any comment for HKPS, I will let my girl study it if it accepts her.

Supergirl,
how are you? in other topic, yr elder son was accepted by Ling liang also, so what is your final decision, KV or LL.
but my friend whose son is studying in LL, she said the parents will be very busy because there are a lot of activities which needs parent involvements. Her hubby already complained about this. So, take into consideration as you have 2 sons. Also, Kv will train your elder son to be more behaved, right?

i asked SC before, the receptionist told me mostly until June wor!

But this year, KV is so fast to call the waiting list, maybe sc will do it earlier too!

This is my question also. but Sc firmly said though the birth rate is low this year, the applications are more than they expected. However, maybe it is a hint that Kv wants to get more students from Sc so that the 2nd round result has released earlier.
if according to ratio of my friends, if they both can the seats of both SC + Kv, most of them will go to Kv.. so i really don't understand that why SC still insists that eventhough someone didn't register on 12/18, they won't release seats until next year July.. which this is the point that i don't like SC, it seems to give a feeling to outside that all will register ,, or they really overbooked the students.

Hi all,

I did ask my elder daughter's class misstress (who is in K1 of SC), she said that they will not contact those on the waiting list until July of Aug next year even though some one did not show up for registration. I don't know is that true or that is her excuse so that I won't bother her on and off for my little girl.

While, it is beyond my expectation that KV did contact those on the waiting list soon after the registration of the first round. Probably, SC has to do something to secure their source of income.

Best wishes to those on the waiting list and eager to get a seat at SC.

i think it will be earlier this year. Do you remember the interview result should be send at the end of this year, but...... we all received just after 3 days of Kv's result. So, I think it is different in this year.

I give up SC and go to KV because,

1. My impression of the teacher (the interviewer) was not so good.  (I had talked it in other topic).

2. SC is famous for its English curriculum, others (maths, chinese, activities) are on average with other Kowloon Tong KGs, such as KM, HKPS, SN.

3. SC doesn't focus on Mandarin, which I think it is as well as important to English nowadays.

4. I think KV can provide a very good training on academics.  Some may say that its English is not as good as SC.  But, as far as I know the writing standard (grammer) is also high in KV although oral may not be as good as SC.

5. I think Chinese is very important as I would appreciate kids can speak Chinese poem rather than English poem.  Learning Chinese would train kids a good 文化意識, like 尊敬, 考順, 互愛等.  What I said is we should have a balance both in English and Chinese.

6. I had two relatives' sons, one studied in SC and one in KV.  Both of them were happy in their KGs, not like others said that SC=happy and KV=push.  Whether kids have happy life depends on the family atmosphere and the way you teach.

All the above are my personal views only, please kindly share/correct me if I got anything wrong.
