I want to know more about this primary school. Is it related to Creative Kindergarten? Any comment about this?

This belongs to Dr. Mrs. Luk . I think they received more than 60% of its own Creative kindergarten's graduates. I also have interest in this school, but could not find any comments from the website. It seems to me more people will talk about 啓思小學 rather than 啓基小學.

As per your information, are 啓思小學 & 啓基小學 the same but people confuse to call its name or they are really two schools?

These two schools are totally 2 different schools. 啓思小學 has only one 附屬幼稚園 and they are in the same location at Oxford Road in Kowloon Tong. 啓基小學 's 附屬幼稚園 is 啓思幼稚園 and they has schools in Kln Tong, Nam Tin and Shatin...... etc. 啓基小學 is located at Yau Yat Chuen.

Yes. These are two different primary schools. 啓思小學 charges higher, there are some universities professors like to send their kids in this school. While 啟基小學's tuition fee is more acceptable. It's campus in Yau Yat Chuen is nice, and it's celebrating its 10th year's anniversary. It seems to me this school might be more reliable than some new 直資 schools?!

As far as I know, the tuition fee of 啟思小學 is far more expensive than 啟基小學. It costs around $7000/month. On the other hand, the homework load of 啟思小學 is more than 啟基小學. It stresses more on academic side. As for 啟基小學, it is focused on 五心教育 and 藝術教育 and it is more of an activity approach school. The tuition fee, I guess, is much more reasonable, around $4000/month.

the tuition fee of 啟基小學 = $43,659 / annum

That means 啟基小學 is under Prof. Luk, right? I appreciiate her idea on education as I think she can give chance for the child to develop in different aspects not just on academic side.

今朝早小女剛會見了啟基小學的莫校長（面談了一個半小時... 不只小女，連我也在最後階段失去了集中力

），並獲得即時取錄。不過，我還想知多些少有關這間學校的資料，以便作出適當選擇。不知現時有子女在啟基學校就讀的家長可否分享一下？例如：

(1) 除了每年 $43,659 學費外，還有什麼其他費用，而這些費用又是多少呢？
(2) 這間小學的學費頗高，知否是什麼原因�用在什麼地方呢？
(3) 這間小學的功課量是否多，學生們都讀得開心嗎？
(4) 這間小學畢業生的成績如何？
(5) 這間小學有多少以英語為母語的教師？

其實個 interview 都幾輕鬆，主要都係問吓家長為什麼報讀啟基、對子女的期望、教育子女的心得、是否認同學校的教育理念、還有沒有報讀其他學校、是否會將啟基作為首選等等。其他都是比較閒談式的，例如對推廣藝術教育的看法、特別是戲劇... 以及... 太多太多... 個半小時實在天南地北地講了太多o野，都唔記得了。

至於小朋友，校長會給她看近期的校刊，給她一些post-it貼在她喜歡小學生作品上，然後校長會問她為什麼選擇那幾幅畫，在畫中看到什麼等等。然後問她日常生活自起床後做些什麼，還叫她即場講了一個故事，問她喜不喜歡啟基學校... 等等。由於校長問小朋友時是要父母坐在頗遠的一張沙發上，所以大部份的問題都聽不清楚了。

話時話，我沒有幫女兒報女拔... 唔知點解冇乜興趣。至於啟基的校長我覺得不錯，她很有耐性，亦很有理想，加上她對愛心和童心的重視、對教育豐富的經驗和在推動藝術教育方面的熱誠，使我們感到將女兒送入這所學校讀書，女兒應該會很開心。

The content Boris mentioned are for those who were invited for early interview. The normal interview will be later.
This idea is new this year according to the principle.
Almost all the early invited are accepted only if they are committed to study in 啟基 in 2006 and not going for the lucky draw.

Starting from 5 Sept, the application form and other information can be downloaded from the homepage of this school. I don't know about the deadline of submission as it is not mentioned in the application form or the relevant documents. Nevertheless, as far as I know, the form is still available for downloading.

So, will u definately send your daughter to this school or you'll still look around? What's your choice for the 'first round'?

Can't say definite but it's one of my priorities at the moment. I quite like this school and the most important thing is that my daughter like this school, too.

My choice for the 'first round' is Holy Family Canossian School (Kowloon Tong).
