Re: How to choose between ISF & QBS
Dear Y2Kchild,
I actually declined an offer from QBS and let my daughter go to ISF. I am happy that I made such choice.
ISF and QBS are like each other in many ways - the teaching method, the curricula, the school atmosphere, etc, are fairly similar. What sets the two schools apart is the language policy of ISF, which I really love. A teacher friend of mine who has personal experience with ISF and another top DSS school told me a few days ago that the language ability (both English and Chinese) of ISF kids is way higher than that of the kids in the other DSS school that he knows. He also said that the ISF kids are more cheerful, confident, active and happy. This is exactly what I have been expecting from a really good school – a school that strives to treat students as individuals and to help each one to achieve their full potential, and to ensure that the students do enjoy learning, have an edge in language, are curious, expressive, and happy.
I am getting more and more convinced that ISF is the best compromise between international and local schools.
Regards,
Warrrren
