有無九龍塘小學家長 - Mock Test Result

小女昨日剛剛派英文及數學 Mock Test 卷回家, 之前佢已經話英文好難, 點知真係得59分, 數學就算OK有85分 (其實可以再高分, 但真係太唔小心). 英文卷對剛剛上小一既學生真係幾困難, 好多comprehension 要佢地以full sentence 作答, 又要在一些句子找出grammar 既錯處, 不過亦都有唔小心既錯.

好擔心十一月頭個Test點算! 有無家長有同樣問題可以分享呢?

真是抱歉, 幫不上您的問題, 反而想請教您問題, 因為,5/11有幾間學校都面試, 有一間為九龍塘學校, 且時間很接近, 想請問您分享一下您去年的經驗, 九龍塘面試的時間長嗎? 是否按預定的時間面試呢? 整個面試(由登記王離開)約需多少時間, 是否遲到不可以面試的, 太多問題, 請諒解我的心情及緊張, 謝謝!

Hi ff_tt,

依稀記得上年面試情況如下, 入到學校後, 小朋友會由老師帶入課室會見, 家長則入禮堂等待, 大概須時二十至三十分鐘. 視乎當天分配的組別快慢而定. 如果你想早一點走, 可能早到一些會有用.

N.B. 今年之安排有無改變就唔知啦!

Don't worry.  These were the tests not counting marks.  However, these tests give you a good opportunity of how you coach your child in the real examination.

The Math test was up to stand as compared with other primary schools.  For the English test, it was a little bit harder for the students.  The students had to understand the passage before answering the questions.  I think the children have to do more reading e.g. New Reading 360, Oxford Reading Tree, Oxford Story Tree....  E-learning is a must.  In addition, the students have to understand the basic grammar.  Now, I am doing the simple grammar teaching for my son.

My son passed in these tests but he made many careless mistakes.  He said that he was tired and did not pay attention in the last part of examination.

Kowloon Tong School is really a good school.  It is easy for me to communicate with the teachers.  If necessary, you can send an e-mail to the teachers for discussion of the progress of your child.  The teachers are open-minded and full of energy to teach the students.

Also, you can buy cheap English reading books at Idea Book Shop of room 902, Mongkok City Centre, No. 74-84 Sai Yeung Choi Street, Mongkok (Tel.: 23978188).

多謝你的保貴意見, 其實都知道可能比較同佢小睇英文故事書有關. 對於理解英文文章會有困難, 相信比多點時間在英文課外書上, 小女會有明顯改善.

對於九龍塘小學是一所好學校, 相信每位學生家長都會認同.在女兒未入讀之前, 已訊問過有關呢間學校, 知道雖然程度比較深, 但小朋友係讀得好開心, 品行好又有禮貌. 這是家長最祈望見到的!
