A close friend's son study in Allied, and a cousin study in KV.
I observe, both are very traditional school. However, Allied in a Christian background school and can had very close parent and teacher relationship (if you had time) whereas KV is not either. KV is more the type: if you trust me, give me your full trust. Parent need to spend some more effort to know more.
From the kid's homework and report, I found KV level is more difficult. Kid's at KV and Allied both are happy cheerful. Both school had homework but not as much as the kid cannot handle.
I personal feel KV's kid is more order and displine but higher in self-pride. Kids from KV in general consider more competitive in knowledge and can perform better over in P1 interview.
Kid attend Allied is quite competitive too. Eventhough Allied consider to have P1, but not all can smoothly move onto P1. Only abt the good result 1/3 is more secure. Seat in P1 is not granted, also need to go through interview!! A lot of kid who attend Allied also attend many class outside school e.g. phonic/ math/ mandarine/ emotion ... and a lot of their parent target their kid to Band one P1. e.g. DBS/ DGS as well
These are my observations, I hope others parent may add on their experiences...
