名 小 學 併 「 被 殺 校 」 轉 全 日

周 氏 宗 親 總 會 學 校 ○ 六 年 將 改 名 為 德 信 周 氏 學 校 ， 變 成 一 所 天 主 教 男 校 ， 現 有 小 三 女 生 將 是 該 校 最 後 一 批 女 生 。  

　　(星島日報報道)全港小學○六學年小一自行收生階段經已展開，家長在九月底前可自行報讀一所心儀小學。三年來適齡學童人口急劇下降，教統局停止資助逾百所收生不足小學的小一班級，鼓勵將要停辦的小學與受歡迎的半日制學校合併。明年有兩所名校利用被殺小學校舍，擴展轉全日制﹔亦有小學開辦特色課程，吸引家長選校。（升小新貌之一）

　　有七十五年歷史的老牌名牌小學德信學校，將在○六年九月把德信下午校與同屬油尖旺區的周氏宗親總會學校合併，成為天主教男校，並改名為德信周氏學校，屆時兩所德信學校正式全日制辦學。為協調兩校合併，周氏學校校長丁智偉特別在本學年，兼任德信下午校校長，丁校長說﹕「目前德信學校有七成學生升讀英中，將來德信周氏學校亦會一樣。」

　　原本要在○七學年停辦的周氏宗親總會學校，在合併後重生，學生可在德信周氏學校繼續學業，成績達到要求的，將可獲推薦到聯繫直資英中德信中學。目前德信七成畢業生升讀英文中學，如喇沙書院、九龍華仁書院及聖芳濟書院等等。

　　德信學校上午校校長梁銀碧說﹕「德信周氏學校將會使用德信的課程，如學生英文程度未能跟上，我們會提供增潤課程幫助。小學生就似白紙，我相信他們可以適應。」為顧及新校家庭有經濟困難的學生，德信學校舊生會正計畫設立學習基金，幫助有需要學生。

　　兩所德信學校下學年將會各收三班全日制小一男生，而德信學校其他級別學生，亦可自行選擇轉校與否。梁銀碧預計來年小二至小四，每級會有一至兩班同學轉到新校，但小五至小六年級的家長擔心轉校後派位問題，她說﹕「我們正和教統局磋商，希望新校派位可用德信學校的成績。」

　　梁銀碧說十一月底將會再次收集家長意見，決定有多少家長會轉到德信周氏學校，她預計德信學校可在兩年內全面轉全日制。她表示，德信周氏學校主要由德信學校老師任教，如要聘請新老師，周氏宗親總會老師會有優先權。新校校董會亦以東亞教育促進會主導，周氏宗親總會佔比例不多於兩成。

　　德信下午校校長丁智偉表示，德信周氏學校將會加強國際交流，「我們不會再做街坊生意，要做國際化學校，除英文外，學生有機會學習法文及西班牙文，掌握國際語言及IT等國際交流工具。」還會引入個人成長導師制，為學生提供貼身輔導。

Band 2 都可以入到英中

Band 1:31% = 36人
Band 2:37%  = 43人
Band 3:32%  = 37人

華仁書院(九龍) + 聖芳濟書院 = 人數:45

可能是填鸭教育之後遺症，這一代港人習慣ロ噏噏唔用腦，學校必"名"，直資必"貴"，政府之政策必"一團糟"......。

Parents choose 德信學校 because they dream of their kids entering 九龍華仁. Those who entered 九龍華仁 are the Band 1 students from the "elite" class of 德信學校. If their kids cannot enter the "elite" class.........

Can you clarify about the quality of 九華? How about the status of  九龍華仁  at present comparing to 香港華仁 and 英皇書院, I heard all of them seems to losing their glory of good old days.

One key indicator is that none of the above-mentioned schools had enough F.5 students with 14 points or above to fill their own F.6 classes.  That's quite alarming, considering that the minimum points to get a F.6 place in many middle-tier EMI schools is 19 or 20 or above.

considering that the minimum points to get a F.6 place in many middle-tier EMI schools is 19 or 20 or above.


我估唔係，全港大概只有50多家EMI schools 因收生好而會考成績好之外，大部分都好雞。

至於九華，有優良之傳統，校風自由，收生不錯，谷两谷成績又番曬來。不用太担心。

Their intake is all (or almost all) Band 1.  You can judge whether their students are still Band 1 after studying in the schools for 5 years.

I am not 100% sure, but as I know, there are a quite number of students went studying aboard before they have the HKCEE, and those are elite students of the school.  Therefore, they don't have enough 14 points students of themselves to fill their own F.6.

The renown secondary schools at regional level seems to have taking advantage of this slip and produce better results on average at A level exam.

I don't agree on this.  How about La Salle, Queen's, DBS, Maryknoll, St Mary's, DGS...  Won't they have students leaving early to study elsewhere before F5?  Why are these 3 schools affected SO much by this but not others?
