Any APS parents can tell me about the Speech Festival?
Hello,
I wonder if any APS mums would tell me the past performance on Speech Festival. I think they do not provide much training on solo verse speaking. Is it right?? I went to one solo last year. There were about 5 APS students in it. They have different style and quite good performance. They were probably trainned by parents. One APS got in top 3 out of 80 participants.
In that section, there were a few schools dominated the competition. Some has over ten particpants and some with very similar style among their students. I believe it was because of the training was provided by the same teacher.
But I do not have idea and information about group competition. How were the past few year's performance. My own feeling is that APS stress more on the Music Festival than Speech Festival and their performance is surely better on Music Festival. Is it right?? I wonder if I should let my daughter to take the solo or the group one. They provide training on group but not on solo but the time for training is quite long. I think if they do not have good performance, it may not be worthy to do so.
