Profile for Form 1

Dear Parents,

I'm desperately looking for the profile template for my daughter (will go to P6 in next month) as I would like to apply a few secondary schools for her. My daughter only get a "C" in her Chinese Lanaguage subjects which worry me most.

Hi!

Is there any particular reason why your daughter only got a C in Chinese? (ie: She lived outside of HK before???)  If you can find a legitimate reason, and all other subjects are still very good, you can try some international schools.  Another option that you can try is St. Paul's Convent (Causeway Bay).  This school has a class for people who doesn't speak Chinese.  Instead of learning Chinese, they take French. (I know that this particular class is very hard to get in, though.....)

If you don't have a legitimate reason, you have to enroll her in some famous Chinese courses (sorry that I dont' know any) so that you can show the school that both you and your child are trying your best to improve the girl's Chinese.  Otherwise, your chance of getting into a good school will be highly diminished.

My daughter is Chinese and lives in HK ever since she is 6 months old and we speak Cantonese in home. It just happens that her Chinese language is terrible (her oral Cantonese is excellent when compare with same age group). Fortunately, her English is quite ahead of her classmates.

In fact, she has taken the KET and PET that organized by British Council earlier -- both have satisfactory results.  Her maths is doing alright. In fact, her other subjects are doing very good.

However, her marks has been drag down by her Chinese language and this is why we are anxious to look into other good secondary schools. Your suggestion of St. Paul's Convent is indeed our first choice. Yet, I heard that places are quite limited for outsiders (we do not have any religious background) and competition is fierce. So, I'm looking for a really attractive profile template which offer better chances as chances only knock once on your door.

Are there any other good suggestion ?  Thanks for your advises.
