% of respondents is based on the whole population or just responded samples. If the latter one, may be biased or twisted. Any link of the source ?

Why I query the base number because the % of IB in LLB sounds not right ???

Anyway, the number is interesting !

I would say your son's score 42/45 (or 41/42) is good enough to get "considered". However they may look at one area in the result: why your son only got 1 point our of 3 core points. Usually above average candidates would have got 2 to 3 points, and candidate would be considered failed the Diploma if he get 0 points. So your son only got 1 point that may be one of the weakest area in his result.
Anyway, like above said, what you can do is to contact Dental Faculty and tell them your son's result as an update and your keen interest. But they will have to wait until after finalize the A-Level candidates. Good luck.
