囝囝現正在嶺南讀N1，他在學校非常開心，但由於我十分擔心嶺南的英文程度不足夠，故打算今年八月讓囝囝轉讀維多利亞(海峰園)K1，但我的先生卻怕囝囝不知在新學校會否讀得開心，可否有人給我一些意見？( 維多利亞已交了學費，而嶺南則留了位。兩間學校的校車路程相約，但嶺南是上午班，而維多利亞則是下午班。)

另外，由於維多利亞的校車可能不能停在我家附近，可否有人可以介紹由上環 ( 皇后大道中/荷里活道 )往北角海峰園的保姆車給我？

My daughter is also studying at N1 in Lingnan. Originally I thought of changing KG for her also because I thought the Eng. level at other KGs in general will be higher, but it's not really true! I compared the K1 book list at Lingnan and the KG that I have originally enrolled for my daughter. I found that the English to be learnt in the other KG is even much less since there is no Eng. book at all! I called up this other KG and learnt that students only sing Eng. songs for 10 minutes or so a day until K2 without even learning ABCs!

At last, even though I have already given up the school place at Lingnan last month, we called up our class teacher and asked for a K1 school place again at Lingnan.

I think Lingnan is a good KG. The Eng. level may be lower than Victoria but it's not low when compared to other KGs in general. One other consideration is that since she is studying happily at Lingnan, I don't want to force her to adapt to another school which may or may not suit her (as this is an unknown until she studies there).

you may call school bus company of victoria at 25662393 to ask for details.
My girl is studying at 維多利亞(海峰園)K1. Although my girl also switched from other campus to 海峰園 in January instead of start right from Aug, she did fine. I think most kids are happy there as i participate in their trips and know most of my girl's school friends.
good points:
-The school will post photos they took during class on the web for parents to download
-they use project approach, every students express their comments and all their comments are reported in the project report, including photos, their drawings and art work.
-school bus are in very good condition with seat belts
-learns phonics and my girl's english improved a lot
-potunghua class also
-reasonable amount of homework, still no writing in K1, mostly cut and paste, line drawing, coloring
-teacher will call me to discuss my girl's problem, say when she always scratch her nose, when she told her that she's unhappy because daddy hit her, very caring!

But for AM class, it is easier to plan activities than PM class. If you still let your son take afternoon nap after PM class, he will stay up late at night and wake up late in the morning.

我仔仔係維多利亞(海峰園)讀緊PN, 都係搭校車. 原本路線嘅車站唔近屋企, 要行十幾分鐘, 於是我同校車公司一位黃生商量, 黃生好好人, 主動話幫我諗諗辦法, 後來調整路線, 俾校車行經樓下, 非常方便, 仲唔使加收校車費(我見到校車公司果份資料寫住, 要有5個人先會加站). 你都可以揾揾黃生, 希望可以幫到你

my girl had interviews PN class for both Lingnan and Victoria and both accepted her. Under my supervision, I found Lingnan's teachers are more caring but obviously Lingnan's Eng. standard is lower, however, it's not really important, since language can be trained by parents/other extra curriculum courses. We hv to ask ourselves what elements suit our kids most.
