Hi Jack&Jill ,

Yes, you have the chance but difficult to say.

In 1st round (Discretionary Place), there are many 20 points. My child is one of those last year. If over the seats limit, those 20 points need to "draw" amongst the applicants.

In 2nd round (Central Allocation), it is by "luck". If you are in the same Net as La Salle (Net 41), you may put this school in both Part A & B to increase your opportunity.

BTW, are you one in the coming year?

No information from the school.

I have think of using the population statistics to calculate the possibility. But it is hard to determine and confirm the accuracy also. There are many parents "borrow address" from their relatives and friends in Net 41.

A point to note though - the birth rate of year 2000 went up a lot and the no. of seats available from the more reputable schools does not increase proportionally. Even if you have the no. for last year, it may not be applicable to this year. So trying to be that analytical is almost impossible...

前途係屬於囝囝嘅前途,  囝囝又係屬於妳嘅 ,  妳嘅决定主牢嘅前途 ,  妳願意將呢個責任交俾BKmom嗎?

Don't worry. The person who overreacted was mansdom but not you.

The only thing I agree with mansdom is that if you think La Salle is good, you should try your best to get your kid in. It is well worth the effort as La Salle can provide a free, top quality education for your kid.

The chance for 20 points is around 30% for LS and 60% for YMT Catholic in the first round.

However mansdom is right that's meaningless. Even you have 80% chance, you may fail. Although that's only 20% chance, you may get it.

We just try to share our experience and ideas here and don’t make it too serious. You are the only one who could plan the future of your lovely kid. .

Jack&Jill 從來無要求一個肯定的答案，只是information gathering，你有資料便分享，沒有便算，我覺得Jack&Jill俾你無端端噴左一輪（唔係，係兩輪）都幾無辜。

亦請熟讀下派位制度才發言噴人，20分和25分有天淵之別，不是所有小學學位都是靠大抽獎的。
