中西區都有幾間唔錯既女校: 聖心, 聖士提反, 聖嘉勒, 英華 etc...

唉!!! 真係唔係好明點解成日鐘意用"邊間最好"黎比較學校!!!

何謂"最好"?? 老師"最好"(因為夠嚴?夠experienced?)? 校舍"最好"??? 課外活動"最好" (因為夠多? 夠特別, 人冇我有?)? 升學前途"最好"（因為好多scholarships? 100%上"大學"?)???

幾間都係同級數... 其實, "唔理係黑貓定白貓, 捉到老鼠就係好貓". 只要個細路讀得上, o係學校有"成就"有歸屬感, 可以啟發到佢有上進心去為自己努力, 對個細路黎講就係"最好"啦!!!

要有比較先有進步,如果唔係DGS點會年年都咁多人報名,唔通係DGS讀完出

I know this story before, the headmaster claim that is band 3 student. The mark's deviation of most students are within 0.1 to 1. 3 of my friend's daughter also stuy in DGS but they feel so happy and no academic problem. And the opinions from most parents are say that the English standard of DGS is the best in school of Hong Kong. Do you mean that these parents choose DGS are wrong decision?

sorry that I don't 100% understand what you are talking about. so you mean one get 89 marks in DGS is fail? I don't want to comment if DGS is the best school in English. However, what about the other subjects? Maths? Chinese? Bio???? good in English is not everything. If you got A in English and other subjects but failed in Chinese, do you think the U will accept you? what about ESF? Do you think ESF's English is not as good as DGS? bear in mind, when your "kids" are interviewed by an employer, there will be no difference between two candidates who got same results in school cert. whether you come from a so called famous school or band 3 school. What they are interested is the character of the candidate.don't be the "frog at the bottom of the well"!

According to your explanation, why you willing to pay $3000 school fee to let your child to study in St Paul College, there are many good subsidary /government school in Hong Kong where are free of payment. I think you have make a comparision before you choose this school. Besides, I don't have comment anymore. Hope you can respect other person.

I am a current DGS parent and I have never heard of this story before. My girl had ever got dictation marks lower than 89 but I was never called upon to see the principle.

My girl is enjoying her school life so much. I am very satisified in what the school offers.

see my points? I have never said that DGS is not a good school but may not be the only school in HK. and may not suitable to every kid.

聖心和聖嘉勒是否屬南區?
聖士提反和英華是屬中西區.
個人意見:
不是買衫無得比較
要看你孩子的能力
讀不上的挫敗感很大
選校不是著眼那間是名牌

我想話你知 .... 九個學生一同考入醫學院

潘萱蔚拿  舊學生雪兒送給他「吾愛吾師」金箔感謝函，有說不出的欣慰。雪兒大學畢業後曾為人師表，現移民加拿大。

我在上水彩園  一間中學當校長，與老師同事奮鬥二十三年，現在成績：九屆會考學生百分百合格，平均一優四良；六屆預科班學生全部升讀大學，平均一優兩良。有官員公開說過這是教育界奇  ，我只能說，這是我們的心血。
八二年開校時，我們收錄的學生猶如「雜牌軍」，成績不用說了。一年後，學生能走的都要走，試過三十多人拉隊離場，全級考第一那個火速升讀九龍名校。
因為我們沒有灰心，多年來證明了不論學生甚麼背景、甚麼成績，只要努力，人人都可以成材。一張張童真的臉孔都在我的記憶  ：曾經停學的「點心妹」最終大學畢業，成為好老師；寵壞了的圍村「百厭精」當了建築師；去年，九個學生一同獲得醫學院取錄 … … 。

住在上水貧民區的雪兒，八二年讀了個半月中四就走了，她說要跟姊姊在酒樓做「點心妹」賺錢養家。同年聖誕節，她給我一封白字連篇的信，講述一天工作十多小時很痛苦，祈求讀書改變命運。
八三年夏天，「點心妹」返回課堂，八五年會考取得一優三良成績。大家都感覺她前途一片光明時候，雪兒卻認為自己應該再做「點心妹」賺錢，令姊姊也有受教育的機會。我和老師們都不想失去一個好孩子，除了熱切地向道教聯合會申請援助、還自掏腰包，支持她一家的生活。
就是這樣，雪兒咬緊牙根，春風秋雨，八七年夏天，她在高考取得一優二良，入讀香港大學文學院歷史系。

有一個見家長次數「名列前茅」的百厭仔，讀書一塌胡塗，他最後考入港大建築系，他的成果相信很多年來為兒子問題頭痛的老父也想不到。我們卻很清楚，是老師堅持教導學生要嚴守規則，令他們最終感受讀書樂趣、邁向目標。這也是十多年前的事了。
去年九個學生考入醫學院讓我們引以為傲。試想，在香港、九龍的名校生，父母任醫生、律師的比比皆是，在家學淵源的環境下，學生繼承上一代的事業可能是一件平常事，但我們的家長，可能是在巿場  的賣  小販。有一次我在上水快餐店用膳，就有捧餐女侍應對我說：「校長，我係學生家長呀，學生係咪一定要買電腦呢？好貴  ！不過如果你話要買，我就買啦！」
我們辦教育，是要教導學生做到人窮志不窮，要用真實例子證明人窮志不窮。
