ICS interview

Any parents have kids finished the interview in ICS (for P1) ?
Would you please advise :
1) is it an one-to-one interview
2) how long will it take
3) how many interviewers
4) what were the topics/questions asked during the interview ?

Thanks for your advice.  My daughter will have an interview on Friday and urgently know the details.

Re: ICS interview

Lemonate,

Here are the answers to your questions :
1) is it an one-to-one interview

--> Yes

2) how long will it take

--> around one hour (which I think is quite long for a four/five years old child)

3) how many interviewers

--> two, one by one as far as I know

4) what were the topics/questions asked during the interview ?

--> as per what my son told me : colors, number, simple maths, body movement games, story-reading (the interviewer read to him and then he had to read to the interviewer)

Please note that the answers for 3 & 4 might not be very accurate as it was just from my son. We were not allowed to go in with him.

Hope this helps.

Re: ICS interview

Ruby1219,

Thanks for your information and nice to meeting you in BK.
For point 3, I asked the school today and confirmed there were 2 interviewers but will be on one-to-one basis.

I am little bit nervous about story-reading since my daughter could not recognise the words.  Also, she is hesitate to answer questions where she is not 100% sure the answer.

Hopefully she's okay in the interview.  How about your kid's interview with Phoenix ?  I remember you mentioned in another ICS topics that you would prefer Phoenix.  Wish your kid succeed in the interview.  All the best.

Re: ICS interview

Lemonate,

It's good that you got the information from the school so that you can be well-prepared.

I think you need not worry about the story-telling. The teacher won't expect the kid to recognise the word, but should be able to comprehend the story (as the teacher will tell him once) and then repeat the story in his own way. That's why I understand.

My son's interview went well in Phoenix, I guess he should had performed ok as he was very willing to go in with the teacher and he was very happy after the interview. Should be getting the result next week, hope there will be good news.

Ruby
