They are very well-maintained and big, well-lit with natural lights and you can see the trees from the windows (though those I saw at YC before are bigger and newer. I am very happy with what I have seen and experienced in Anfield Kowloon Tong so far ( my daughter is studying in their prep-programme). The principal and the teachers ate very caring and my daughter and other classmates love going to school. They love the big outdoor playground a lot, where we can see how the K1-3 students take the PE lessons ( the PE teacher is great, he teaches not only the skills but also emphasizes on the safety issues, and I can see the outdoor playground provides the space and freedom for the children - something I don't see in most other kindergartens in Hong Kong)
As for the mainlanders, I only see one in the current class that my daughter is taking. And the parent is one of the nicest persons I have ever seen before, very well-educated, polite and helpful. In fact, the children in my daughter's class benefits a lot from the mother tongue of that mainland-born child during the daily Mandarin lesson (you know, children influence each other a lot). I don't know the actual situation of K1-K3, but from my observation (I go to school with my daughter for 5 days a week), I see mainly Hong Kong, Indian and Caucasian parents of K1-3 classes every morning during the morning gathering before school starts.
Hope this info gives you a better understanding of Anfield Kowloon Tong - our first and the only choice. (We did have experienced other nurseries and kindergartens before, and this is the best school we have seen so far, considering all the factors including teachers, teaching philosophy, facilities, whether children enjoy going to school and learning etc.)
Please feel free to private message me if you would have other queries.
