英國《經濟學人》( The Economist ) 雜誌公布2013年度全球「工商管理碩士 ( MBA ) 課程」排行榜，由即來港開設分校的芝加哥大學蟬聯，香港大學 ( 下稱「港大」) 和香港科技大學 ( 下稱「科大」) 分列24及58名，港大較牛津 ( 54名 ) 和劍橋 ( 37名 ) 為高。由1至50名學府名單請參看附表。

杏壇絮語

港大本科註冊主任Professor John A. Spinks指出，10年前幾乎沒有海外生入讀的港大，今時今日已是名副其實的國際大學。就以今年( 2013年)為例，一共有25,000名非香港中學文憑考試( DSE )的學員，以Non-Jupas方法申請入讀港大。
這位本科註冊主任又指出，海外生報讀港大的競爭非常激烈，平均每一學位有多達19人申請。如果把來自內地的申請也計算在內，數字將會更高。
Professor Spinks繼續透露，不少獲得取錄的非DSE學員，在國際教育文憑試( IB )或英國A-level都取得萬分優異的成績，用後者報考港大的學員，不少拿到五科‘A*’或更佳成績。除了不少來自內地的考生水準非常高之外，也有一些來自台灣的申請人，在當地的高考都考獲非常好的成績。(以上資料節譯自《南華早報》10月24日的‘Letter to the Editor’)
直至執筆時為止，未見港大公布2013年度收生成績中位數(四個核心科目及一個成績最佳的選修科)，反而其他「六大」已紛紛公布有關數字，就中香港中文大學的環球商業管理以34分最高，科大該科亦需30分。一句話就是：考狀元！
