I think 'soft drug" such as marijuana are quite prevalent in the international school communities no matter the school is well established with distinguished academic result. It is because relatively the families of the students are well off and are targets of the drug sellers. The "good" news is that most of them are not involved in the "hard drug" such as cocaine or heroine.

If you want to send your kids to an international school, you should keep an eye on his/her behavior and the students he is going to mix.

I was told, but not sure, that there are smoking rooms in the school in FIS for the students to smoke.

I wouldn't say drugs (be they soft or hard) are quite prevalent in the international school communities. They may be very common in some, but certainly not all, international schools. I am sure there are international schools where you could hardly or seldom find such cases.

I don't mean all international schools in Hong Kong are involved in "drugs". However, I would not be surprised if one said the students in a particular international schools were involved in drugs no matter that school is of excellent academic record or not.
I am not going to demean any international school in Hong Kong. However, the families of international school students are usually well off. They are targets of the drug pushers and are "easier" to be influenced by their peers. So if you want to put your kids to international schools, you should keep an eye on him and on the friends he mixes.
I have a good friend who was a police inspector of Central District. He told me that his police station had arrested many international students from Lan Kwai Fong who were in possession of "K pills", marijuana or other soft drug.

Even a lot of local schools have drug problem. International schools are easily picked up my media because they are consideted somewhat special minority...
As parents, you should not be relaxed and feel exempted from drug issue just because your kid got into any certain school.

Do you mean present or prevalent? I am sure it is present in all schools though hopefully not to the extent of prevalent.

I mean it is present and also "prevalent" in the sense that there should be small group or groups in IS which will abuse in "drugs" i.e. marijuana or other soft drugs. Maybe there are exceptions to one or two IS. But to my knowledge, students from big name schools are quite often arrested by police for possession of DD.

但我唔覺得真係間間都有，或者係唔係 d 學校 kum 住，唔比家長知？
印像中，好似次次有事，都係 "某兩間" 學校，其他學校好少 (起碼唔會大件事到報紙都賣)。
