I see. So they are suggesting that u re-apply and if a Year 1 space comes up, then they will offer you a chance to re- interview again. Registration fee is only $150, which is low for an intl school application fee, so worth a shot.
You could also apply in Sep for a Year 2 spot. With sibling priority, you are likely to get an interview opportunity again, should a space open up (depends on how transient your catchment is.)
In either case, it sounds like the school was concerned about your daughter's English level. Is your daughter a native English speaker? If she is giving one-word answers bc of shyness, u may want to enroll her in some classes to work on that. Otherwise if u feel her English level is not up to speed (hence one word answers), then classes on English verbal skills may be helpful. That way, she will be better prepared when she interviews again.
Are you targeting other schools? RC or other intl schools?
