I do not have personal experience, but several friends who have turned to FTM. One did so recently, one did so 20 yrs ago. Both U graduates.
They turned to FTM because their observed their kids' behaviourial or caring problem. They liked working very much and decided to turn to FTM for their kids. For the one did so 20 yrs ago, her kids are grown up now with good education and personalities. In her sharing, she said that she gave up a very loving job, but it's worth it as her daughter grew up with better care and support. I can see that she put many efforts and time in building up close relationship with their children. The fact is she never go back to the job market, probably due to the difficulty to find jobs.
