My kid currently stays at YC and recently got RC offer. i have trust in RC in each category except for Chinese. Is it worth sricking to YC because of the language?
Many thanks for any advice!

you should sign up for a tour visit to RC which is held on every Fri. The tour allows you to go into the classroom to see what you are yourself. On chinese, RC have 40 minutes chinese class every day, and that is all the exposure to chinese each day.

Thank you above two for sharing! I did visit RC recently via campus tour. It actually worried me more as there is very limited Chinese exposure from what I see: students conversation, classroom display etc. I think it's fair as RC after all is an ESF school.

Yew Chung is doing better than RC in terms of Chinese, but if Chinese is a concern, you probably should go for local school?

my son's friend, who is a foreigner, switched from Yew Chung P.1 to RC. They said the Chinese curriculum is very difficult in YC.

Yes. My daughter switch from YC to RC because of the Chinese in YC is so difficult, but as my daughter goes up to higher grade, the Chinese in RC is quite difficult also, especially the ib Chinese A, still cannot catch up, so don't think the Chinese in RC is simple, you can take a look on the Chinese MYP or IBDP Chinese curriculum, that's what RC is teaching.
