It is not necessary to have permanent resident status for both kid and the parent. But they need to have rights of abode entitled by their work visa....

最緊要是小孩要有香港簽注！如果婆婆或舅父可以為小朋友申請到居港權應該可以。但有些學校要求家長之一有香港身份證。

not quite clear if esf kinders have this requirement, but definitely sould write down hk id card or passport during application. Besides, CIS requires parents sign an agreement that one parent must stay full-time in HK all through the years of child's study life.

I mean the right , 不是永久居民身份。most of the IS( at least those I apply) need one of the parents live in HK.

一就係父母有working visa in hk, 我的公司鬼佬同事唔係香港人佢地來香港都有拎身分證，但當然唔係永久居民一類。佢地d 仔女係外國出世係香港讀國際學校。

請不要来香港争了、留在国内好嗎？　国内也有好的国際学校、点解一定要来香港？　４歳人仔、点解父母是但一方都不能照顧？　婆婆也好、舅父也好、始終不是父母的愛。

Kids should live with parents before 14. I was being separated from parents and live with Nana when I was a young kid.

Something like a true relationship and happy childhood that money can't buy!

I couldnt agree more. Nothing is more important and beneficial to a child than parents' love and company, especially during young days. There are good education everywhere especially if you can afford.

Totally understand why we all here are emotionally on fire! But don't worry. Those kids live without the care and love of parents, cannot study well, regardless how good the schools they study.

Especially for those 雙非. Imagine how could a kid spending at least 4 hours on travelling to school study well?
