There are advantages to both the one-on-one and group formats. As to which one provides better results, that depends on the individual characteristics of a child.
From experience, group formats are good for peer learning and generally work better for active/older kids, whereas one-on-one formats are better for quiet/younger kids who need more attentive care. Considering that this is the first time for a K2 child, one-on-one should be better.
As to how much time is required- that again depends on the child (consider how frequent the classes are going to be and how long are each session lasts). Personally, I would suggest that you try out one or two lessons first before enrolling on a full course (to make sure that the teacher is capable/compatible with your child. Otherwise it would not mean much be it 6 or 10 lessons). You can always adjust the frequently and length of the lesson depending on your child's progress thereafter. |
