本人兒子於上週在RC校院內被一3年級學生搶去籃球，之後雖然我們找到嗰個搶波小朋友，但佢又話收埋咗個波係草叢之後唔見咗，同學校講，學校又話籃球係私人物品唔處理，你話可以點？

What are your objectives?  Get the ball back.  Get compensation of a new ball.  Punish the other kid.  Teach your kid a lesson?

However, the school doesn't encourage the junior forms to bring any valuable items, toys, balls & money to the campus, right?
You should teach your kid a lesson.

Whom did you talk to at RC? The vice-principal who is responsible for the disciplinary matters? Or the class teacher? Perhaps you can get your child to learn from this incident as to keep an eye on one's belonging and to protect oneself. If I were you, I would inform the school officially of such misbehavior cos I don't want it to happen again and again. Maybe it's something else (not a ball) next time...
Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that...

To me, it's more like a campus bully than theft.  If I were you, I might request an oral apology from the boys who grabbed the basketball from your son. They could play the basketball, as long as they got your son’s permission.  Students should be taught what’s right and wrong.  As to the basketball, I won’t ask for any compensation.  I’m sure those kids from the upper class didn’t expect the ball to be gone. Well, of course different people handle things differently.

A few years back in a campus, my daughter put a borrowed book on top of a locker.  She then bent down to organize her backpack on the floor.  She was too focused on her backpack to pay attention to someone passing by.  When she stood up, the book was gone.  You can imagine how frustrated she was, as all just happened in 1-2 minutes.  What we did was to buy a new same book for her friend, the book owner. It’s a good lesson to my daughter, as she learned that she had to assume full responsibility for the borrowed book/thing.

The school reply was from the Vice Principal. She said there is no evidence of snatching even the student admitted that.

Which form is your child in? If your child  is in a lower form, then teach him the way to protect himself as it seems to be the culture of dealing with students' behavourial problems in this way. If your child encounters something like this again, perhaps go to the primary school principal for help.

但如果被高班的選中來欺侮，就非常大件事，樓主要跟緊d，看是前者定後者。

我小朋友都有帶波返學校玩,過未試過被人"搶"波咁緊要,不過呢Ｄ事响任何校園都有發生,好似上面提過,試吓認真Ｄ寫封电郵比學校管理睇吓佢哋点覆,白紙黑字,校方嘅表達可能有所不同。

不過小朋友咁細個帶個波返去, 籃球場咁多人同時玩, 都係有危險,到時被撞傷咗,可能會變成校園＂暴力＂事件,重大件事！

另外可以試吓問可唔可以上 secondary gym 或者其他放籃球 嘅cage揾唔揾得返個波,又問吓學校可唔可以放小息時借波玩,不過籃球呢種係團體運動,都係一齊射籃一齊玩,好難自己帶個波返去唔比其他人參与的,如果真係想學, 學校 (外面團体同ESL) 同 YMCA 都有得學。

其實只係小事一宗，將來出到社會都一樣有好多唔稱心嘅事，小朋友要學識處理。家長唔通可以跟足佢一世咩？你畀佢讀非傳統學校，就係要佢獨立。恕我直接，樓主你個名題講到間學校成個賊竇咁，實在有欠公允！

同意Maoku所講，恕我直言，不談校園欺凌，偷嘢，只談件事本身，籃球是一個team sport, 好難帶一個波返校自己一個玩，預咗一定有人搶，而且在一個小息的操場，唸下其他小朋友，都有可能俾你嗰囝嗰波撞親而食波餅，你有無為他人切想呢？另外，如果咁緊張嗰波我會叫我囝自己落樓下玩，自己跟到實。好老實講呢啲私人嘢俾小朋友帶返校，校方俾你帶喺人情，唔俾帶係道理，唔見咗仲要親自搵個＂疑兇＂去質問佢，好得人驚。件事我覺得唔可以單方面去㧗評，對其他人不公平。網上平台是公開的，好可能又是另一類的欺凌事件！不喜可插！希望校方唔好睇到我咁寫
